So looking at the whole, twins being compared, and it got me thinking how much I'd like to see a female protagonist like Zhi Xi, who isn't naturally gifted and works hard to develop her skills etc, but at the same time never reaches the skills of the naturally talented, but finds other ways then using her hard work and discipline to navigate their way through a drama. A bit over the Mary Sue female protagonist who's got power coming out of her ears, and can easily overpower those who've trained for years.
So, nice ending, bittersweet. Sad as it was, I liked that the father died, it really showed the value of time and appreciation for those around you and stepping forward you always leave something behind. What I didn't like was the two SFL endings, how rushed and unsatisfying they were. I wanted to see a bit more spitfire from San San, or at least them talking out how he left. And as for Yin Xi, I'm so disappointed they gave us a 5 second clip of we'll do better in the future. Personally, I would've preferred if they hadn't gotten back together. Sometimes it's nice to end on a single note. Her end was such a cop out of yay, all the girls got their intended partners.
This has gotten a bit too melancholy, I don't feel like we've gotten enough like actual romance between the leads to feel anything if they broke up. All it's been is drama
