Far out, did not think we were doing time jumps going into this episode. Also that pregnancy scene was brutal, but I'm glad they didn't kill Gu Reum, I was worried they'd go down the death of a loved one route.
Can someone explain to me what the difference is between a ghost and human? I've seen ghost tribe in a few wuxia's but I'm unsure of what qualifies like ghostism. Stupid question but are they dead?
I like that both mains are morally grey, instead of the, they're morally grey but not really, they're actually good people with a bit of angst. Some people might not enjoy having a male lead who doesn't fit the typical anti-social protagonist, but I think its refreshing to have such an opposing main character, and I like Ga Reum. The woman can take a hit and she's showing proper signs of obsessive compulsion about finding out about her parents. It's not half an episode and okay, we're fine, this is a lifetime of built in conditioning to find out what happened, and it has created a dislikable stubbornness, which I like and I hope as they develop her and a sense of empathy, that they don't turn her into a damsel wishy washy whiner.
Captain of the City Guard Yuan Boya is stripped of rank after the imperial tribute he was guarding is stolen. Unwilling to let things lie, he searches for the thieves, only to end up entering a mystical world of demons. Along the way, he becomes mixed up in a feud between Yinyang Master Qing Ming and the human and demon worlds. Yuan Boya and Qing Ming go from mutual distaste to grudging respect, eventually establishing an unbreakable bond between master and "familiar." The two work together to solve an old mystery and prove Qing Ming's innocence, while also unraveling a conspiracy to bring the Demon King back from the dead and destroy the human world. In the end, Yuan Boya become a respected hero, while Qing Ming makes a great sacrifice. Adapting the phenomenal mobile game Onmyoji (Master of Yin and Yang) into a movie and series of the same name, CKF Pictures is bringing this magnificent Eastern fantasy world to the big screen.
it was supposed to end last episode when the main leads got together but writers are planning to do the second…
I didn't realise going in there'd be a love triangle :( I would've much preferred if it'd been a focus on one romance and then the two friends making up. But I guess it's going off the webtoon
If you mean the monsterized one then she already became a monster. Her desire turned her into a womb creature…
I think she was there as proof of not all monsters become these evil killing machines, and the concept that these people might not change because of despair but rather desire, shows that not all desire is so toxic (like greed, or image). So her purpose is probably a lead on into hopefully a second season, exploring the idea of can we generalise all of these monsters as evil?
