it hasn’t even been 2 weeks since we last got an ep but imo it feels like it’s been months. besides missing the show like crazy all the drama and arguments made it worse. so much chaos in a short period of time 😭
and honestly does it really have the importance that ppl are giving it?? in general, i would imagine that producers care more about how their series is being received by domestic audiences, even in this case where the series is being formally released outside of china, they still make most of their money and earn their reputation from chinese audiences.if the rating was like insanely low like 4 stars id get it but 8+ is high

someone on reddit gave a detailed explanation on this scene. it’s like a niche term that used to be considered deragotory then was reclaimed. from what i dork/loser are more accurate

i don’t want to be a debbie downer but this just made me more nervous ngl 💀 sounds like the series is being cut tf up, especially if they have to do re-dubbing. that *could* point to some significant changes but we will see. i hope whatever happens the show still has its magic
this is the worst. this show is so captivating that it’s stopped me from fully being able to get into any other bl/gl airing rn but also this postponement announcement has made so anxious i don’t even wanna rewatch the eps or engage with the fan content of this show rn, and sunday is my “me time” day so i have no plans so all in all im just like 🧍♀️not sure what to do lmao
some ppl have been making it seem like concerns about the nc scenes being edited or taken out are just about wanting to goon or whatever, so i wanna reiterate my view on things:
overall, a slow burn is supposed to build up to something. if we don’t feel like we’ve reached the peak the story was leading towards, it usually ends up feeling kind of flat or meh. i can think of several bls that have had this issue tbh.
in this series, part of the buildup has been physical intimacy. one of the central plot points, of the last ep is wsw feeling scared to have sex with cc.
the narrative has been priming us for wsw confronting that fear and finally choosing to be physically intimate with cc. not delivering on that could make the arc feel incomplete. so much of his inner conflict is about realizing his sexuality might not be what he always believed. imo he’s not just scared of sex, he’s scared of what it means if he wants it, if he initiates it. it forces him to question the future he’s always imagined for himself (a wife, bio kids) and reckon with the idea that his future might not turn out that way. skipping over that or watering it down could imo make the episode(s) feel unresolved or half-baked, and i imagine the editing would also end up being pretty choppy.
not every story needs physical intimacy if that’s HOW it’s written to be. but if that’s the direction it’s been leaning into the whole time, like with RL, leaving it out can make things feel anticlimactic, narratively.
LITERALLY! that is such an easy explanation that would sooth ppl’s worries so much and protects tian from more…
LMAO yeah the probably saw fans assuming it was just a viu thailand issue and ran with that excuse since it was so convenient. its kinda funny when you think about it but whatever
when the series ends with a fistbumb and cc calling wsw his best bro we’ll know 😭😭 (kidding)
