When I first watched this, the angst broke my heart so much I didn’t give it as high of a rating as it deserved, but watching it for the second time it’s sad but excellent.
I think Ji Woo has a fearful avoidant attachment style. He craves loves and intimacy but because of his past, it also scares him, so he pushes Seo Joon away (He does this in the first season too).
In this season his issues really come to light as he falls more in love with Seo Joon, so more at risk of being hurt. He’s afraid of being abandoned, so he finds reasons to leave first. Essentially, he believes that it’s inevitable Seo Joon will leave him, so he was looking for indications that it will happen or that Seo Joon doesn’t love him that much or is better off without him etc .
I think the texts from Seo Joon were just what Ji Woo needed. It gave him the reassurance he was craving but was too scared to ask for . In fact, Seo Joon’s persistence, in general, and how much he loves Ji Woo and isn’t afraid to shower him with that love is probably really good for him. I also hope he goes to therapy though. I hope they both do.
Anyway, I need them to wrap up their love story with a final special ep or two that’s just Ji Woo and Seo Joon being in love, maybe them getting married even.
i haven’t read the webtoon, but from what i’ve seen so far of the drama, i feel like this story could do really well fleshed out and longer. maybe not 16, 1 hour long eps but maybe 10 eps 30-40 minutes each. sigh!
I finally started to watch this because of the comment section praising the series but oh boy my experience is…
Tbh, I was really excited for this series at first but I’m with you. I’m losing enough interest that’s it’s becoming drop worthy for me. Not because it’s horrible, just because I’m too lazy to keep watching a series I’m so lukewarm about
