for such a short episode, they wrapped everything up better than expected going in. it was a beautiful episode and the love between both couples literally brought tears to my eyes. all it was missing for me was a kissing scene between wsw and cc. it felt almost out of character that there wasn’t one, like such a passionate couple finally reuniting and all they do is hug? i felt similarly after wsw’s kidnapping. given the second couple was able to have 2 deeper kisses the past few eps, i don’t fully get the choice but oh well.
marking this as “complete” hurt badly. i’m going to miss this series so much. i didn’t expect to become so attached, so quickly but here i am, feeling kinda lost…saying goodbye would be so much easier if this wasn’t a cbl so we were able to have fanmeets.

yeah that’s what i was thinking. there’s a billion different reasons a recording wouldn’t be admissible or enough evidence. for example, some places you need all parties to consent to being recorded
a lot of ppl hate this ep, and i’m not defending the author bcs apparently she’s weird, but i really liked the episode. it was well acted. i feel more than ever how much cc and wsw love each other and the lengths they would go for one another, especially wsw. i don’t see wsw as helpless or dumbed down like some have suggested, nor do i think the jail arc is dragging. i think if it were wrapped up too quickly it’d be anticlimactic tbh. the only thing i would change is more screen time for cc. i would have liked to see chengyu’s visiting him in prison
