I completely agree - I still love this drama so much despite the story being a bit disjointed. It's high production quality, beautiful costumes, beautiful actors...and does have a plot with depth rather being stupidly fluffy and shallow. I do wish we could have had the benefit of all 70 episodes somehow so the story could be better fleshed out. I prefer having draggy episodes that I can skip ahead of, rather than to not have any of them at all and be left guessing how certain plotlines developed. But overall, this is still in my view up there with some of the other great popular dramas. Has all the elements that I watch dramas for: heroic and handsome ML, plot depth, epic romance, no ugly cgi or special effects, good fight scenes and good cinematography :)

I love both this one and under the power. I think there is slightly less romance in this one than under the power. Without spoiling it, under the power leaves you much more satisfied if you’re wanting epic romance.
Love! Only watched 2 eps last night since these come out at about 10pm here in Australia, and this is so super cute! Came for Riley and Bai Lu but now am also loving Leo!

I feel like going back and rewatching bits of the episodes while I pine for new eps to be out, and it’s bugging me that I have missed some clear scene where he reciprocated her feelings rather than still be totally in love with mo xin

I know right?!! I felt SO UPSET last night watching the episode where she has the lovely date day with him and then leaves him. Why why why why not just tell him so awful seeing his hurt ? I hope this part is short and he friend tells him the truth ASAP so he at least understands wtf is going on with her.

That's why I decided to watch! LOVE Chen Zheyuan. Although his dubbed voice takes some getting used to..I wish they'd just use the real voices of the actors...
I'm really liking this but did they really cut it from being 70 episodes to 36? Or are they going to make it two seasons? My two main gripes right now:
1. The love story development seems to be a bit disjointed unless I missed something? There was a nice build up going on but I felt like Prince Su goes from having zero interest in FL to then all of a sudden likes her and wants to give up everything to live a normal quiet life with her? err what? when?! Was there a crucial scene I missed???
2. I'm not loving the FL's character being soooo overtly into the ML and being so in his face about his love for him. Not to mention that she switches from being amazing smart and intelligent to being sooo unladylike and a bit gross with some of her mannerisms.
What’s with the airing schedule? It’s saying two eps each Monday and Tuesday right and we are supposed to have episodes up to 17 now right but everywhere I hunt there is only up to 14?
What’s the epilogue? Is this something after the final ep?!
Cannot believe that’s acceptable industry behaviour. But now it makes sense why those final scenes felt so dragged out without much substance. Also I didn’t quite understand what XY said at one point about having made up all the stories and then all the characters showed up?
