MDL says it has ten episodes but the subber says it has twelve. What's going on here?
Oh good, I hope that's the case because I just watched ep9 and I just can't see it wrapping everything up in just one more episode, much less probable if looking at the scenes of ep10.
Plus I don't remember having seen a "next ep finale" kind of tag at the end of the episode

7 episodes in and I still don't understand why they had to name it "Destiny" ? like they didn't even bother to select a more creative name or at least more related to the story but they just went for the most cliche, generic, average word? 🙃 as someone mentioned, this is truly a telenovela in all senses lol

Like I can imagine many kind of plots out of that title which actually make more sense or justify the title more than this script, but anyway

Wait, you really don’t know who the real person is that put on the fire? It’s obviously Yuki and Masaki is…
I had everything wrong lol
I thought he was somehow collaborating with Masaki's dad because of the interaction they had on which Yuki seemed to be on a tight spot (regarding his job) and had no chance but to accept the father's help thus become in debt with him, which would eventually take him to betray Masaki.
So on the scene where he tried to say something to Tomo I thought he was going to talk about that.
But it never occurred to me that he would be the culprit lol this drama is all over the place.

Title Let's Get Divorced Spoiler
So it took me a while to finally decided to watch it due to all the bad comments and rating and finally gave it a chance and guess what? I enjoyed it very much and watched it pretty fast, at least faster than other titles.I don't think they are normalizing cheating or talking bad about family but all the contrary. I think this is more like a parody trying to laugh and criticize some of the problems society faces. For instance we have the older generation (specially the mother) talking about cheating as something normal and from a very conservative perspective, even making women step to the side in order to support the husband. And she is portrayed in a way that obviously makes the viewer annoyed by it and hate those actions, so it is actually making its purpose on making people question themselves about those outdated values. This perspective is even more reinforced when the FL complains about that, saying no one cares for her, her feelings and the fact she was cheated on. We all will most likely sympathize with her under those circumstances. The ML is portrayed in such an annoying way, almost as a useless person who has not had to fight over almost anything through his life to have position and money, so of course we will most likely not like him, so then again this makes people value the things that person is lacking. Then we have the FL cheating as well, because guess what, we're humans and this may as well happen on any relationship under these circumstances. Or what? did you want to watch a FL who has been cheated on still coping with the situation and supporting her husband because otherwise she would lose her job due to society's presión and mixed values? she is trapped between obtaining her freedom from a failed marriage and gaining society's criticism/money penalties for that or coping with the marriage, her husband, her in law while maintaining a good reputation, society's approval and her contracts. We have seen many examples of how Japanese society as a whole has handled scandals depending on whether the person is male or female and the lack of gender equality on those situations just to come here to complain about the script. On the other hand we have the lover's character. Then again we've seen many real life examples of how cheaters are treated by society because if you make a wrong step you're over and society cast then away without any chance of redemption because society would never do something wrong like that. For real? No, here we have an example of a lover who was almost like the female villain at first but then got her life back in track, learnt about her mistakes, made peace with the ML (or would you rather prefer a character unable to forgive and move on, keeping hate and such for the rest of her/his life?), tried to forgot about the situation and go on with life as a strong woman who values herself and is still in the process of learning how to fight for herself while facing misogyny and such. Then we have the ML who lost it all due to all of his mistakes, the cheating, his lack of interest and many more things and needs to start from scratch. He realizes he was guilty of losing the person he loves and he needs to learn to live with that while trying to be optimistic about life. Because then again, would you prefer for him to suffer more? to have a bad ending? to not being able to have a second chance? Yeah,, because we all have the right to punish these kind of people right? lol give the man a chance to redeem himself in some way... I would agree with all of you if Yui had forgiven him so easily from the start and got back to marry him, THAT would probably look more like normalizing cheating, but they didn't get back together, at least not now not that easily not without a proper overcoming process first. They just happened to find a way to be in peace with each other, which in my opinion is much healthier for them, for the people around them and most importantly for their own child. Would you rather prefer for them to have a bigger fight and harm the most innocent person in the process??Oh and we also have the female lawyer who instead of going with her client's flow just to win the case, she actually scolds him and tries to make him realize his mistakes and his lack of respect towards women. On the average drama we would have gotten a male lawyer for him and a female lawyer for her who fight each other with all they've got, but no, I liked the fact that we had a Female lawyer for him and male lawyer for her, because why not? I have many more things to say but they are all on the same note, so I will just conclude that I appreciate this drama didn't go the usual route of hate and revenge and damage and all that (which is easier to do), but it also didn't go the way of "everything ended good and they got together again and lived happily ever after" which would have end up normalizing cheating. It is not a comfortable drama, but it was an optimistic way of showing that sometimes it is better to learn to go on while forgiving and learning from mistakes instead of living a pitiful life full of hatred, negative feelings, giving up in life and fighting with each other all the time.

What, what kinda stuff did Ryo do? I only knew him as a actor. If you can, please show me the links.
I suppose the person is referring to his idol days, apparently Ryo and his gang (idols from same agency like Jin and Yamapi, who were extremely popular then) used to be kind of rebels causing troubles or being rude when hanging out at bars, with girls and such. Gossip magazines used to report this kind of incidents all the time, some were ridiculous IMO.
It is all quite old stuff, from 2005~2010 or so, so most internet info may have vanished or is buried by now.
As for Ryo himself, he has been known as having a sharp tongue and attitude, so he was sometimes labeled as a bully when interacting with idols from same agency and such. There are some remarkable episodes to talk about.

It’s pretty obvious to me that she has never gotten over the ML, hence the reason she was SO reluctant and looked…
I'm speaking for myself, but I don't think her feelings for ML are the issue, as you say it was pretty obvious.
It is more an issue of "Here we go again with the cheating 🙄". Like it is already an overly used arc, which sometimes is necessary but here... Idk. They could have refrained from making a BF character and keep with the story but no, they went for the "safe" cheating resource just to try to further complicate the plot, to say it in some way.
Either way, I'm still intrigued for the other part of the story so I'll continue watching.

It seems most jdramas are released 1 episode per week.
What? which are not? all of them are released that way.

Here we are, TV Asahi and their habit to pick a mediocre writer for a big project.
Which is another example of that? I'm not really into following scriptwriters names so I just got curious by your comment

The end was definitely rushed :( like they spent too much time dealing with other issues and everything was wrapped up in like 10 minutes or so.
I didn't completely get what happened at the end, like they didn't abandon the competition but just took a detour to play the concert and show Maestro that they would be fine without him? but then where was that? at the airport? and why did they have to go all the way to do that, they should have just done that at the rehearsal??? I'm confused lol Anyway, I still love and appreciate any orchestra related drama such as this one so I hope they keep doing more and more in the future :)

This was such a fresh, down to earth, somehow believable story with just the exact amount of humor and not over the top plot.

I love the positive messages they convey which are very relevant to nowadays society without falling on the over critique plot.

Such a good job! nicely done script

On a side note, I'm glad they went with that finale. Even if it is a sad one it was the best choice because anything else would have felt forced or unreal or unnecessary or even not fare 🤧 so that finale makes total sense. ❤️

This was such a heartbreaking soothing drama if that makes sense lol it is difficult to explain, but it really is. Like it is overall heartbreaking but the way it is portrayed it also feels very warm and the photography/locations, music and everything just add to that kind of comfy sad feeling ¿? 🤧🤧🤧

It is definitely one of a kind.

Now I want to visit Nagasaki on my next trip to Japan ❤️

I'm worried about the potential cheating as well, like they didn't need to add that to the already dramatic story 🙄 but oh well, let's see how this goes.
