Since when did we start to care about low scores? I think we J-Drama viewers are used to low scores and barely getting something above 8 every now and then to start being bothered about it now lol

That being said, I do see the flaws on this drama and why it might upset people (me included) but either way, I'm intrigued and will continue watching

Also I think they have given so much hype to it that we all had high expectations thus it was probably a let down to some, but it is actually a pretty average drama so it is not that bad either. ¿?

Am I the only one thinking there could be a plot twist on Ryo's supposed "villain" role?
It seems way too easy to figure out the villain and culprit from the very beginning and kind of boring to just wait until the truth come to light if he's indeed the culprit, so I think there should be more than that. Probably he's not the real villain? Idk.

Edit: just watched ep3, so now what? lol he's probably taking everyone down?

typical for japanese content on this site
Relatable lol I've watched over 300 J-Dramas and have only given a 10 score to 3 of them and 9 ~ 9.5 to just a handful more.Must say there are way many dramas I've enjoyed A LOT but being fair if we try to make a balance between acting, production, screenwriting, edition, and everything else they come off as pretty average even if the story was nice/entertaining so 🤷🏻‍♀️

Well, I like the fact that this revenge plot had a little twist on which the plan of FL was found out on the early episodes and so now there's the intrigue as to what will she do now under this scenario.
Like usually nobody finds out until later or the like, but this twist made it a little bit different to usual stories.

LMAO I had this on my PTW list since it began airing and been wondering when to finally start it ever since.

Meanwhile I stumbled upon this "Ripe for the Picking" show on Netflix which I started to watch highly skeptical because I was like 🧐 never heard of this drama before? that's not a good sign?

So I was thinking on just watching the first 5min or so in order to decide whether it was worth it or not, and then when the intro came in scene and the Japanese title was shown on it I was surprised that it was this same drama! LOL so I was instantly convinced to keep watching.

I mean, I know Netflix gets creative sometimes with their English titles but this was just too much LOL and also I'm still not used to identifying Japanese dramas by English titles so all the more confusing

Details say it has 11 episodes but on Viki it has 12. Why the discrepancy?
Probably Viki is counting the SP episode?

Why are there 2 pages for this drama but with a different title and poster? https://kisskh.at/752637-pending-train-shudengo-talk
The other seems to be some kind of SP where they talk about the show, they're 5 episodes.

From the website:
This content will further deepen the appeal of the drama, including talks in which the main cast of "Pending Train" deepen their friendship as they work together to overcome the survival-like filming!

pretty sure there was a series of attacks and not just one on trains so probably later on one of his friends or…
That makes sense, thanks for sharing!
It is weird tho, that they changed it, as it would have made much more sense for the plot and the effect the incident made on him.

But they all happened on the same day, just on different train lines, so I think it is more likely that this version was modified from the original script source

My god this was such a mess from beginning to end. Just when one thinks it cannot go worse, there you have another twisted plot twist lol

At some point I started to question myself as to why did I decide to watch this in the first place since I'm not a huge fan of this twisted plots but anyway. I actually started watching since it began airing and dropped it at ep 3 because it was so much mess I was irritated already, but finally managed to resume watching and eventually got intrigued to know what kind of finale this whole mess would have.

All in all I think it was a good finale considering that options for a decent one were narrowing down as they had gone through all the possible plot twists they could ever nail, so it could have easily flopped at some point, but they managed to keep it cohesively twisted until the very end if that makes sense LOL

There was another attack previous to that one in another prefecture, but I'm pretty sure there was none after, so either someone he knew did die and he hasn't found out yet, or the synopsis is wrong (or as someone pointed out it refers to the original script source which was modified for the drama). Anyway, let's wait and see what happens haha

This plot sounds ver random tbh, but I'm in nevertheless lol
Also there are many unrealistic things going on but it is a drama after all so it is fine and episode 1 was good enough. Looking forward to next eps!

I usually watch this kind of average dramas at x1.25~1.50 speed but I can't do that with this one as everyone talks too fast (specially FL) it is hard to follow them as it is already 😂

you know, I've just noticed but I've never seen an earthquake in a native Japanese drama or movie. not even a…
It is probably you have not coincidentally come across one yet, but there are indeed.

Tennou no Ryoryban, First Love, Nihon Chinbotsu, Pending Train, obviously The Days, Silent Poor are just a couple of titles that come to my mind where either a baby or major earthquake happens.

The thing is, the earthquakes on these dramas are major plot triggers, or the story revolves around the aftermath/consequences, that's why even some of these dramas depict real life major earthquakes, so it would be weird to see a random earthquake happening in a drama just for the sake of it, without actually having any relevant part in the plot. it would require extra and unnecessary efforts.
Just like it would be weird to see a car accident or a flooding or any other kind of natural/human disaster/accident in a drama if it is not part of the plot.

In conclusion, I think they have no issue in portraying earthquakes (as with any other kind of accident/disaster) on dramas when needed in the plot, just like Shogun. It is just that they are not fixated on making earthquake related dramas either even if it is something frequent on their real life. I think it just goes with the flow as any other plot trigger: used if needed but not obsessed with it.

Random comment: I live in a highly seismic country as well, probably as equal as Japan, and it is not like earthquakes are regularly shown on my countrie's produced shows either, so idk 🤷🏻‍♀️ it just happens
