Wow! I didn't know that DZ have a 2nd season and Techi is in it!! I am a fan of Master of Study (Korean adaptation)…
Probably an useless comment now, but you should definitely watch season 1 first. It is not mandatory be sure the story stands for itself I think, but season 1 does give it a different feeling to it.
Ratings here have their own sense (more like non-). A cheap, low quality series but starring a popular actor or…
Agree, plus the story may be too complicated and slow paced for people who are mainly only used to those average popular productions with popular actors/actress π€·π»ββοΈ Still, above 8 is a pretty good rating here at MDL for any Japanese drama πππ like we don't get too many of those (compared to other countries) and much more less above 9. It deserves more than 9 I know, but oh well. PS. I know it is not exactly a Japanese drama, but you know what I mean
Have you watched the Chinese version (meteor garden)? It annoyed me so much. Only the Thai version was quite good.…
Have not read the manga but as far as I know, the first Meteor Garden version (from 2001, which is actually Taiwanese) is the most loyal version to the manga, even more than the Japanese Drama Version. As for the Japanese drama version, of course it has many things that didn't age well, but I find it much more bearable than this Korean version because there are less episodes (even counting 2nd season and movie), less drama and toxicity and sometimes it is like more... ridiculous/funny? like made in a way that you don't take it seriously to begin with, if you know what I mean.
As for the second Meteor Garden version ugh, didn't get to finish it, maybe some day, but I was very angry at many scenes specially when he slaps the food tray on her face like WTF π Agree, Thai version had a huge challenge to make it more according to these times and I think they managed ir pretty good
Does someone know which songs exactly are the episodes inspired in? there are a couple of songs I love from Matsuoya Yumi but not sure if this is worth to watch :\
Their clothes must have been such great quality because they remained in perfect conditions through all the episodes aside from just being dirty lol - I thought there would be a more interesting plot coming out from the fact that they came back from the future to 3 years later, like an alternate past but they would been missing from their original timeline, something like that? but it was just to fast forward the time in order to be closer to the meteorite date πππ - Also, I don't think the last two episodes made much sense, like it was just filling episodes? idk, they trying to convince people and then taking too long to depart to the airport was dragging it too much and then why was Hatano-san holding the baby and Koharu missing but not actually missing??? It was all over the place with no justification at all π΅βπ«?? It was nice entertaining to practice the language anyway π Oh and there was more bromance between two ML than any of them with FL lol
just watched the first 2 eps. This is interesting and the end of ep 2 was exciting. Canβt wait for the next…
They are originally supposed to speak in Portuguese as that is the only language they all have in common. So for those characters who don't speak/understand Japanese, there's only Portuguese left. But as it is an American production they're actually speaking in English just to make it more comfortable for English speaking viewers. A bit confusing I know π just imagine that every dialogue in English is in Portuguese lol
Just two episodes in and why does the ML always have to be pulling and pushing around the FL?! Now I remember this is why I don't usually watch this kind of dramas, ugh, hate watching them grabbing FL around and talking to them and treating them like that.
Have not watched episode 7 yet, but it just occurred to me during ep6 that there may be a chance Ame's mother could help her in any way, like taking her place or any other kind of miracle? I don't know, I can't see where the story is going yet π
Together with The Heirs the only drama which got a 1/10 from me. People are arguing that it was a hit in 2010.…
It was a hit nonetheless, that fact cannot be changed. Not saying it is a good drama, but it is just a very popular franchise to say it that way, so... π€·π»ββοΈ anyway.
Re-watching for the first time since it was released and omg this is actually worse than I remember lmao πππ let alone the cringe, exaggerated, over the top scenes and bad/funny stylings (both outfits, hair and makeup), there are some things that didn't age quite well. And I don't mean this drama only but the story (manga) itself feels somehow outdated now. I've watched every single version of it and F4 Thailand definitely did very good trying to give the story an atmosphere slightly more according to these times. Anyway, I'm here for the nostalgia so I'll continue enjoying it π
Btw, I must say I was quite surprised coming back here after lot of years only to find so many bad comments and a pretty bad rating giving that as far as I remember people generally loved it when it came out the first time and I had a hard time finding people to talk bad about it π
And suddenly the FL being targeted issue is almost non existent anymore but I don't really complain because whatever the plot, I'm finding them really cute π
I enjoyed episode 5 very much! There was such a warm feeling watching them four having dinner together. Also, I'm actually liking the father-daughter plot because it is somehow different to the usual family conflicts, like there's no over the top drama and no violence or abuse or addictions involved, it is more like a natural/common conflict if you know what I mean, just a family going through a hard time like any other. Lastly, I'm glad we finally have some background on the violin/conducting apprentice, like ever since the first episode I've been like what's this character's purpose in here? I'm ashamed to say I didn't see that plot twist coming π
Shojiki Fudosan Special - ML deals with his friend's issue. Both of them remember about the organic farm belonging to the friend's parents and then they travel to it throughout the episode.
