It took me a while to finally start watching this and WOW, first episode was SO GOOD!!! It is nice to see high budget dramas paying off like this. Looking forward to the rest of it.
LMAO this is just great. All architecture references and the story itself, I kept laughing and smiling through all the first episode. I hope it keeps like this!
So... they all went to prison and Jinno sensei lived his life free of any guilt? damn haha I thought we would get a glimpse of their lives after the 9 months at the end, but no, only Tamana and the child. Anyway, it was a very non realistic story but somehow it had me intrigued and had some plot twists I wasn't expecting at all. All in all it was nice to watch.
So I finally finished watching this one after having it on hold for many years. I'm ok with the end. It is definitely not a drama I would recommend to lift the spirits, as there is definitely that blue atmosphere around it, but somehow it is what I needed now haha
The post credits scene was definitely unexpected! For a second I thought he had lost his second eye but then I realized it was a flashback lol
I've got a question only. Did I miss something throughout the two episodes that hinted at Toba having had previous knowledge of Kazama's incident? Like I don't see the point of showing that he was there witnessing the scene? I'm confused.
Kimutaku did a great job here. He totally embodies the character perfectly.
I'm still on ep 8 (already watched it) and wondered how they would make it work on just two eps remaining. Now I see it has become a 12 ep drama and at first I was oh that's good! there was much to do yet for only 2 eps, but just a quick look at the comments... now I'm worried 😂
My god, why do they make so long dramas and even make an SP to something that in my opinion could have ended way before without damaging the story. Like there's no need to make it longer, for real. It was just dragging the whole thing unnecessarily.
It is an interesting concept (reversing the conventional roles) but I don't think they managed to actually achieve it. I would think that the whole point of reversed roles would be making it feel more modern and appealing to a changing society or at least presenting a curious alternative to conventional society, but it lacks too much, like the idea is there but the whole development falls too short. For example, they tried to make an statement about women who are good at work but not necessarily good at housework while being completely ok with that. But then they made the female role just take the conventional male role where she totally sucks at housework and is only the breadwinner. Idk if I make sense but yeah, I didn't like that too much.
On the other hand, the main leads didn't have chemistry at all. I enjoyed watching all the support characters interactions way more and even preferred when main characters were not in the screen at all lol I know, support characters were mostly exaggerated but at least it was much more fun.
I know it is a good drama I enjoy when I'm hoping the episode would last more instead of checking the time bar every minute to check how much is left :') it is a good story and every character sums to it.
This ended up more tragic than what I would have thought with so many deaths and some of important characters. I was watching the drama on public transport and when yoyo san fell off the building I almost shouted because it scared me lol That being said, Kagami's character was very good character (the easy going charismatic dude and such) until he turned out to be the killer due to revenge for his dead parents, like WTF. It was such a weak development and if it wasn't a weak enough reason (encouraged by children's time lie) then add the real reason of his parents dead LOL. Poor guy. Also there were some confusing timeline moments, such as the time when Kokoro runs away with Kagami after yoyo's death and then everyone seems to be living in another day (at least next day) but the two of them seemed to be living on the same day with just a couple of hours of difference. I was very confused ¿? All in all it was a nice drama, great production, nice music, good acting, and a decent plot which happened to have not the best plot twists (or at least not managed in the best way).
