I've been watching dramas for almost two decades and up to now only gave a 10 score to two. This definitely earned to be the third one. I just cannot find something bad to say about it nor any critique. I think it is very well done, and the actors did a very good job. Based on a real story and real testimonies it is difficult to judge the development of the story and everything going on. So from the technical part it was a great job, and they managed to convey the feelings of desperation and all regarding such a tragic event which is still in progress.
I really recommend you guys to see the manga! The manga has more characters and is a bit more heavy. Like a dark…
Thanks for sharing! So how does the story evolves from where the drama ends? Has the manga series ended by now? I would love to hear more about it. Barely have time to watch drama so I don't think I would make it to the manga now but woukd like to know more about the story haha
I really enjoyed this and couldn’t stop watching. Original was going to give it an 8/10 but i’m adding 0,5…
I read your comment before getting done with the episodes and was like, what? it cannot be that relevant. Then I finished watching it and the moment he showed up with the haircuts done my jaw dropped LOL what a change.
They should have killed the father in the early episodes and turn this into a Cinderella-like story (father dead and greedy stepmother taking over). That would have been better than having him around as a good for nothing and pathetic character lol like for real, it was such a bad character.
I didn't like the inclusion of Ryoko, i don't feel like she's necessary to the story and she's just being toxic…
There's a good reason for that. Whether it worked the way the Director intended to or not, that's up to debate.
Quoting from an Interview:
"But when I was developing the show, I did think that introducing this world as a place of pure, dreamlike wonder would be very irresponsible. So I also incorporated some elements into the show that didn’t exist in the original story of the manga — as a slight critique. That’s why I asked you how much of the show you had seen. For example, I included the character of the daughter who has strong critical opinions about the maiko ways. And I also added Sumire’s father, who strongly objects to her wanting to become a maiko. And then I also had the sequence where the Okami-san shares her opinions in reply. So I added these elements to introduce some of the questions that you raise, but ultimately, I tried to leave it to the viewer to form their own judgement."

Been reading the latest comments and while I agree with many that this started to get weird at some point and last episodes were... let's say weird again. Why is no one talking about the mother's obsession??? and why she was rejecting her real son so badly. I mean they do explain it but it still makes no much sense... Like I can imagine and try to explain it in many ways by making suppositions, but then it feels like the viewers have to do the job the screenwriter didn't do by trying to make it more believable and/or deeper so it looks like the plot actually works. While I liked the production, the first half of the drama, the acting and more, it really really lacked logic and explanation. I mean it is a drama, dramas frequently are not logical and we're ok with that, but this one was too much plus it relayed way too much on the visuals and throwed away the script.
This weirdly nice lol it definitely has that manga vibe on it. Their characters are odd and acting may seem odd but I actually like it, like the plot doesn't necessarily need to make sense to start with so it is ok ¿? lol
I loved it, although I think it had a rushed end. Wouldn't have minded if episodes were longer so that we got a better development of the characters, specially Asahi's, like get to see a better and smoother transition from the moment he finds out who he is to when he decides to forgive and help the company.
Isn't Akane supposed to be the "super cool" idol/president? there is a mixture between the empowered/cool looking Akane and the very much fragile and vulnerable side of him. Like it doesn't makes sense and just takes away the whole atmosphere.
I swear I was having these very thoughts a moment ago. I don't understand that synopsis at all. I know someone…
Well, it is just as the synopsis says, his character dies at the beginning of the drama and then it is a story involving ghosts. I would not know how to describe it tho if it is sad or something like that, it is certainly not happy either but something in between ¿? lol
When I read the synopsis it didn't sound that compelling, then I saw the poster and got interested and now I'm hooked. Wish it would be a 45 min episode drama or to have more episodes :(

Anyway, watched first ep and it is intriguing enough to keep me hooked. Looking forward to the development and hoping it will keep up like this.
I'm not quite convinced about the love interest though...
