Couldn't get past EP 1 back when it was released and now decided to give it a chance again.
First eps are kind of boring but it gets much better from Delicious 5 onwards. Last episodes were actually pretty funny in that japanese characteristic humor lol so I'm glad I gave it a chance at last :)
Waited too long to finally watch this and I didn't ever think I would miss Nao this much. Her character annoyed me at the beginning but it started to grow on me and by the end of the series and the first movie it had greatly developed from the first series. Now it doesn't feel the same without her...
Akiyama is as good as always, but watching him "struggle" alone feels lonely. He had a loyal ally on her and it was such a good team.
The new female lead doesn't fill the spot because it is too fast to even get to know her and also she didn't even fully trust Akiyama, so there was no feeling of complicity at all...
It was like everyone was all over the place.
What I did like is how Akiyama wasn't the winner really. That little twist felt fresh.
All in all, I LOVED having Liar Game back with the same wonderful OST and settings, look and feel and everything. And of course Akiyama. The game was very good as well. So I don't regret watching it at all.
It is just a movie is too short to get to know a completely new character and getting fond of it.
Btw, who is the girl who goes back to Japan (with the returning group of people) on the last episode and who stood to watch Ai's painting? It seemed to me she was the girl with whom Ai was drawing at the hospital's roof but then she reminded me of Amami's daughter? Or was just a random girl?
Quick question, do I have to watch the main drama or is it alright if I don’t and just watch this one? Cause…
Probably too late now, but I think you can watch just this one. I would recommend both tho... Main drama's first eps may be not as light to watch but it gets better later.
Spoiler tag please. As much as I hated that Rika was the only one who was left all alone in the end, I appreciate…
I'm totally loosing interest in watching 2020 version at this point haha. I don't mind if it is spoiled for me, but could you mention more about Kanji's behavior in there?
I'm only guessing it is due to a cultural aspect. Japan has a long tradition with baths. Times change of course but in general therms, taking a bath is more than just keeping oneself clean. It implies phisically and mentally relaxing after a hard day of work, almost as a reward to oneself. So I suppose the whole thing in here is that the series want to portray them as unable to bring themselves to "enjoy" such a comfortable thing while their daughter is suffering, on the contrary they prefer to remain that way until everything is solved. Or it is just probably a weird thing the producers decided on hahaha
I finished episode 2 and I am confused to why the Narusawa's are obsessed with not allowing the police to help…
I've only seen up to ep 2 now, so don't know what people talk about ep 3 yet, but so far the police driving force is their reputation, not the hostage's safety. They want to arrest the culprit at whatever cost, while trying to convince people they're doing it for the hostage safety. It doesn't help to their image and reputation if people can solve such case without their help, much less now that they were already involved. If it is proven that in order to rescue the daughter it was better done without the police, they're whole purpose and existence is inexistent. That's why they get too angry when asked to leave the house and insist in taking part, to prove they were needed after all. From the parents perspective they of course don't give a damn about the police reputation, they only want their daughter back and are willing to do whatever they are told in order to succeed, so if it is getting rid of the police at all costs then that will be it.
Solid drama that got its message through. It wasn’t perfect, it had the typical overacting for some actors.…
Exactly my thoughts 😂😂😂 Every time he presented a document I was like again?! And with an index and all the design and such, what a waste of time on that circumstances, when did he do that lmao 😂
