I can't believe this actually got me on the first episode and looked kind of promising and then it when downward spiral until the end, I'm not sure whether 5.5 is too harsh or 6 is too benevolent lol
Popped up on Netflix while I was looking what to watch but never expected I would be presented with such a masterpiece. I don't get that rating, this should be better rated. Nothing much more to say aside from what everyone has already said, just that it is a movie that definitely remains in mind for a couple of days and it touched me a lot. I didn't even realized how much the yakuza world had changed in all these years but this was a complete eye opener. Greatly recommended to anyone.
I feel like I wasted 6 hours of my life watching this. No complaints against the production itself, it was very well done, good actors, and all. But the story... that everyone is so messed up, I can live with, after all it is part of the whole thing. BUT some characters really pissed me off and it dragged the whole thing longer than needed, it became tiring to watch at some point. And then the main couple having that ending?! like for real?! I waited for more than 5 hours for them to finally get together and that's the end?! I understand the whole "love yourself first" thing and all, but in this case it is more like not being honest with themselves -.- please tell me we're having the supposed manga finale on a SP or something...
The final is canceled but does that mean we won’t get a new group?
It is still unclear Basically, rumors say there is a group but they're waiting for everything to calm down until they make the announcement, meanwhile they are recording stuff and such. But nothing is confirmed yet.
Ah I am not prepared for tomorrow! So many of my favs are going to be eliminated D:Is it just me? I do not know…
We're all spoiled with the ranks but that's actually better because it will not caught us off guard during the show lol we can be more prepared for it :'( I've not been able to finish ep 14 yet tho, isn't funny anymore :(
I respect your opinion but I would like to point out - I really dislike how so many users on MDL just blanketly…
It also pisses me off when people think japanese dramas are bad or boring just because they are not as popular as other countries'. When I became a real drama addict I started watching japanese dramas, then I've had a hard time adjusting to other countries' exactly due to the things you mention. Can't seem to find as wide variety of genres, or the plots are unnecesarily longer (more episodes) when j dramas are mostly very good summarizing everything and such.
Thoughts after ranking. Some made me quite annoyed tbh lol Also, Tony's fans don't kill me, I can't force myself…
As someone who didn't know any of the guys before and started watching the show with objective eyes, I've failed to find the charm in Tony since his very first performance when Lisa was very impresed with his final pose and I was like, What? really? I don't get it? A few episodes later I was like, ok, he has the looks, the talent and everything, but still feel unable to relate with him. Then 1st ranking arrived and he said that thing about the center and I could literally see Luo Yizhou's pupils dilate (good for Yizhou's for keeping the cool) and talking back to him, just so that Tony would innocently smile as if the statement had only been an innocent joke. I couldn't stand it at that point. Didn't have anything against Tony even though I failed to see his charm, but now that made me kind of dislike him. Not going to throw trash at him, but that wasn't nice at all.
Huaiwei was way too stiff during the entire ranking announcement, that it made me very nervous as well. I knew about his previous rankings, so I kept wishing he would not be mentioned for any position from 9 to 5. Was so glad when he made it on 3rd place <3 He's my favorite as well, I truly hope he can debut. Has been a while, many years, since I didn't feel attracted to and iidol/trainee on this way! Not to mention his interactions with Sun Yihang, it only makes me like him even more to see how much he cares for his friend.
And couldn't agree more with Jojo and Jerome. Jojo is one of my favorites due to his charm and all, definitely, but I think he still has a long way to go before getting a debut. And Jerome... he has the looks, I like him, not as much as to be on the top 9 though... but I heard he has a huge fanbase so that would explain it all.
Ikebana (japanese flower arrangement) is a huge thing in Japan, a tradition with very deep roots, so it is a more than justified topic for the story. In real life it is pretty similar as to what is depicted on the drama.

There's too much drama going on and the show is making weird things.
I miss the old vibe :'(

Are we really sure there has not been any update about the release?
But I guess they made it that way so that it look more like an end, which made it really bad tbh. I also hope there is a 2nd season soon.
