I'm watching this drama now,, I should have stopped for Ramadan but it's not heavy on the romantic front to do that also I don't care much about the romance more than the brotherly love in this one Ryan Cheng is the best character and actor in this drama
Knowing what will happen from the trailer and I have been anticipating this drama since a year ago since they announced it ,, I'm addict of whump or hurt male leads in any drama,, angst is my favorite trope but still, I feel anxious and sad when I watch the misfortune of the male lead as it supposed to happen he's such young active amazing person and he will endure such painful disease that's what makes me feel more sad about this drama but still going to watch it
I noticed for a romantic drama there are no heavy kisses nor very intimate hugs,, there is always some kind of respecting boundaries between the two main leads ,, I know of course because of Shin Hye , she's married now but ,, it's too obvious sometimes like in situations where the female lead should hug him or him kissing her but instead he bats on her head or goof around her
This was my first drama with those actors, Never watched them before in anything but from this drama I've added to my absolutely favorite list three actors Ryan Cheng, Tan Jia Rui and the young kid lister
To be honest , I love certain characters in this drama more than the main couple ,, I didn't feel attracted to their story the male lead is very immature and she's way out of his league and yet she loved him because of her shitty past I didn't feel their love story is good or unique, it's more like romance by convenience nothing more and more like the older sister's love story is more attractive to me at least because she can be relatable to any ordinary girl who fells in love with the handsome guard, the only person that treated her with kindness in her lonely life also the other romantic story of the second couple was more attractive because of Gong Shang Jue's personality and how he fell in love but still taking precautions and treating her with his guard up every time he doubts her , his story was appealing to watch not like this fool lover boy
Maybe I'm the only one here that thinks Ling he's character doesn't deserve to be the sword Weailder,, he's like a spoiled prince who indulges himself in his matters rather than be concerned about his sect's matters he didn't even care to investigate properly his father's death and became a drool-loving boy to the famel lead, Gong Shang Jue on the other hand is more suitable for the position, when he is deep in love with the other female lead he didn't forget his younger brother nor his sect's matters and kept investigating
