I was thinking the same thing. He's the one who suggested the island and seemed very nonchalant about some things that were happening. He was also the first one who said he was hungry in the yacht and kind of motivated them too eat. Plus, he made sure Monet survived and with the tip off we know it's not because he really wanted to protect her but more like we can't have this beech dying too soon. 😅
