XL is not a very direct person when it comes to bringing XY into the loop of things. He also knows CX was the one who hatched the plan, but just hints at it the last time, XL and XY actually talk.

XL killed the bug when he saves XY's heinie after she tries to end her life. So they are no longer connected by the bug.
