I thought that too, but then I thought what's more painful than dying in your own piss knowing your own mother hated you enough to finish the job herself?😅

Also, I feel the guy only regretted his actions because it was haunting him. It was all about making himself better. If he really regretted, he wouldn't have kept talking when she kept telling him to stop and wouldn't have scared her into ChiChi coming out by pushing the door when she was trying to close it.

I felt the scene that starts at the end of 5 and the beginning of ep. 6, especially with the glass shattering effects, did a good job at showing what was going on.

It's not as unpopular as you think. I fell asleep three times while watching ep. 10 and I know of a few others who also feel sleepy watching it. The pauses take all of my patience to get through.
