Now I've never read the novel, therefore I wouldn't know much about his background, but from what the novel readers have mentioned on this forum, WenLang did experience some childhood trauma that made him resentful of the idea of love! he only knows how to be feared. So, beta or omega, WenLang was always cruel towards GaoTu since their high school years, even through university. Here's an example, if you remember the scene where he told GaoTu to eat more because he was "thin and ugly". WenLang was genuinely worried about GaoTu's health... but THAT was his approach 🙄. He doesn't know any better and I don't blame him. I just wanna smack his beautiful face a few times for GaoTu's sake, that's all 😂. BTW I'm not sure if you've read my comment from earlier this morning, GaoTu is extremely petrified of WenLang at this stage! I did a deep dive into their relationship up until episode 10 if you care to read but that was about 5 days ago. I can post it in the review section if you want. Anyway, what's done is done there's no point crying about it now! Moving forward, Hua is handling this completely wrong, unfortunately, no amount of grovelling would convince Shao after the fact! You and I can see how crazy in love Hua is, but Shao only sees a liar. Also, what's the point of "admitting" what he'd done at the X hotel? he couldn't deny it even if he wanted to! he got caught red handed, literally! Shao plainly asked him for an explanation but he didn't give any! Not even after he'd gotten better and was able to talk. So how exactly did he own up to what he'd done?
