As we're approaching the end I feel like this story is DELIBERATELY walking a very thin and uncomfortable line here. Because I can't help but wonder why does Fan Xiao feel like a pure villain instead of the anti-hero 🤔
he uses power and wealth as tools not safety nets
he manipulates situations and people rather than reacting to them.
he objectifies Shu Lang's emotions as something to win or control
he shows premeditation not impulsive moral failure. and this point is key because usually anti-heros act badly in moments of weakness. Fan Xiao, on the other hand, acts badly with intent. which is why my brain is going:
What exactly is the crack I'm meant to sympathise with? 🤔

Growing up with someone knowing they're your sibling, you can't develop other feelings for them other than a siblings' bond imo. this is why I find this difficult to understand.

At this stage I just hope Fan Xiao pays dearly for what he'd done to Shu Lang 😢 he literally picked the most beautiful soul on earth and decided to screw up his entire existence just for the hell of it! I really can't stand how evil he is 😞 why should he ever get a happy ending 😒

I mean they couldn't have made them childhood neighbours or maybe childhood best friends at school or something?! why does it have to be her adopted brother?! it doesn't sound right at all 🫤

well technically what I said was "I" would've jumped off that bridge to get back at FX 😁 I sure want Shu Lang to find other ways to punish FX for what he's doing! If anything I want FX to suffer a slow and agonising torture at the hands of Shu Lang 😏

I don't understand what his endgame is after the fact! He wants Shu Lang to submit to him?! That's ironic cause the thing that attracted him to Shu Lang the most was his defiance
