His assistant did tell him to force himself on Wei if Wei wouldn't sleep with him and Chi Cheng refused and has…
Gosh! This type of writing really gives me the creeps ๐ตโ๐ซ.. I'm not a "dark romance" reader nor do I accept it in a fictional form of any kind! But that's just me, I don't know how others perceive this concept!
Everyone under the sun thinking Chi cheng is the greatest gift to BL world these days and here i am making heart…
Girl, I'm over here making googly eyes whenever Shuai shows up on my screen ๐ซ ... like sir! where did you get them kissable lips ๐.... I'm so head over heels in love with that cutie patotie and I'm not sorry. I only want more screen time of him and ChengYu .. I feel like their first kiss is gon be fire and I'll be screaming like a banshee ๐คฃ๐คฃ
With that been said, I'd like to address something that's been heavy on my mind since episode 10. Pretty sure I read the subtitles and Chi was saying he doesn't want to "force" himself on Wei ๐ณ! ... Oh I'm sorry! Is that really an option! I don't normally watch CDramas but.. WTF! Is that what he was doing with ChengYu's previous lovers?! kidnap them and force them?! And what's that talk about him taking Shuai instead ๐คฏ?! could somebody please tell me I'm stupid and I misunderstood, because the alternative is not sitting right with me at all ๐คจ!!! what are we watching here?! OZ! ๐ฎ
Imma need y'all to spit behind your left shoulder, knock on wood, throw some salt or something so you won't jinx this series with y'all comments about banning, alright?! I hope I made myself clear ๐คจ
I didn't read the book but plan to as soon as the series is over. But from the way it was promoted it's the story…
trust me I'm not disputing any of that. I just don't find consistency in the way Tharin's character is marginalised in the series. It doesn't make sense to me how a father is not taking interest in his son's life especially that he didn't know he was alive! Moreover his future as a king is dependent on him. Also how did Khanin move on from the loss of the man who raised him to completely forgetting about his death!? Pretty sure he told Charan he wanted to find out who murdered him, that is if he was actually dead. The story is a bit weak in my opinion ๐
I didn't read the book but plan to as soon as the series is over. But from the way it was promoted it's the story…
From what I've seen the series so far has been more focused on Khanin's pursuit of Charan. But since the bane of Khanin's existence is the Royal Competition you'd except his father to be more interested in him! instead he hardly ever interacts with him! If I was a father who'd just been reunited with my long lost son, whom I thought was dead all his life, I wouldn't leave the task of teaching him about Emmaly's history to Chakri, his servant! I would take every opportunity I have to prepare him for the competition and supervise his training. Just a thought I guess ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
I agree with you. That's why: Dropped. The story of the main roles is so unnecessary that you say, 'why am I watching…
exactly ๐ฏ I dropped it too. I'd rather be watching something that actually make sense. I hardly have time for myself these days and I'd rather watch something that's not boring. I only wanted to share my disappointment here because of the long wait and the hype this series received before it finally aired ๐ซค
The character khanin was always a cunty character. He was one in the novel and he is one on the series. Im a little…
I honestly don't think I'm the one who'd built an image in my head of what Khanin's character should have been like especially that I've never read the novel. Khanin was indeed presented to us through the first few episodes exactly how I described him. He was passionate about fencing. He got offended when Charan criticised his technique! And I got really excited thinking I'm about to see some push and pull between them two before they actually fall in love! something that might have resembled what we saw in Never Let me Go. Instead, that's what we got ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
The character khanin was always a cunty character. He was one in the novel and he is one on the series. Im a little…
Exactly my point! Thank you so much ๐ The hype this series received was so strong. I went from being excited and intrigued about the show, to fast forwarding here and there ๐
TBH, the worst bit was the long wait! It is literally a big budget series with a story that goes absolutely nowhere ๐. The first few episodes were so misleading as well as the trailer! We saw Khanin competing fiercely in fencing, very weary of Charan and how he just appeared in his life! I'd expected a bit more push and pull in their relationship because of that. Imagine someone shows up out of nowhere, tells you you're a prince in some magical land somewhere in the world. He then proceeds to kidnap you while armed and dangerous men shoot your father ๐คฏ! I would've expected Khanin to be hell bent on finding out who was behind all that and what happened to the man he used to call "father" since he was a baby! Instead, all of the sudden, he starts behaving like a spoiled little princess! the only thing that mattered to him was to get Charan! Of course he gets jealous and competitive here and there when he meets with Ramil .. but that's about it! Also Khanins biological father had the most lukewarm reaction I've ever seen in a Drama when he found out his ONLY FREAKING SON! was alive after he thought he was dead since he was a baby! you'd think he'd want to spend every waking moment with his him! you'd think he'd want to make up for all the time he'd lost and try to get to know Khanin and who he is! Instead we hardly ever see him with Khanin. their time together was extremely short and wasn't even implied in this series! Someone just tried to murder your long lost son before he arrived to the kingdom! you'd think he'd investigate or go after the culprits! But no... invisible powers are still trying to assassinate the next prince and yet the entire focus of the series is the romance between Khanin and Charan! Tell you what, no amount of chemistry or NC scenes can make up for a good story and a reasonable narrative in my book ๐.
I'm so disappointed with The series after that long wait ๐ซค First of all, I dont know about y'all but when watching a BL series I like to see two men fall in love! In this one, however, I feel like Nunew is playing the character as if he was a princess and not a prince! The shift in his character from when he moved from the UK to Emmaly was quite abrupt and unrealistic. All of the sudden, he turned from this confident young London boy to a spoiled princess whose main purpose in life is to chase after Charan! And when he doesn't get what he wants he throws tantrums complaining to his grandfather and uses his title to force Charan to babysit him! We no longer see him passionate about fencing the way he was before, he's not chasing the truth about what happened to his father. Imo, I don't feel like I'm watching two men falling in love, I'm watching a royal guard and a spoiled princess and I'm not enjoying this ๐
What was the point of Wi Hajoon making it into the complex and then just leaving? What a waste of his character…
Tenacity pays off.. At the end, the authorities (and I use that term loosely) were alerted to the existence of those games. Before that everyone thought he was hallucinating after his near death experience. Detective Hwang was your typical good cop who also didn't even suspect that shady captain for all those years believing he'd truly saved his life! it took a thug like Yo Seok to sus him out and start digging. It took him 3 days to realise what detective Hwang didn't realise in 3 years.. why? because it takes one to figure out one.
I can see a lot of us are extremely pissed off in the comments about the ending which I sorta understand. But what I wanna know is what did y'all expect the ending of such a dark dystopian story to be?! did y'all think you were watching a classic good vs evil clichรฉs type of drama?!
This story was about two polar opposites. Gi Hun the man who still believes in humanity despite all the atrocities he'd seen while trying to survive "The Games" the first time around and In Ho who'd lost his faith in humanity the minute he lost his at the end of his tournament when he decided to murder all his opponents like a coward while they slept in order to survive!.. If anything this is a win for Gi Hun! At the end of the game when it was down to his life vs that of an infant who was born in the pit of hell, he sacrificed his for a chance for her survival! I'm sure you didn't miss the look of defeat on In Ho's face at the end of the final game! Also, what life did y'all expect him to live this time around if he'd walked out of there alive with an infant on his arm?! The PTSD, the never ending trauma, the nightmares... no amount of therapy would've made him normal or even well enough to survive and raise a child. Remember, he had to send away his own daughter after surviving the first time because he couldn't coupe with the fact that her life might be tainted as well. Now with that been said, I want to know why did he send the girl with the money to his brother who'd spent the last 3 years of his life searching for answers only to get non at the end.... if anything, only more questions ๐.
Finally caught up on episode 9 and 10.. what an emotional roller coaster!
The underground fight scene was something out of a "fight club" fantasy or something! though I knew Yut was going to fight dirty I didn't expect him to pack a razor blade! I was gasping loudly with each slash as if I was the one being ripped apart! That scene took the show to a whole new level of darkness that I wasn't prepared for. It was too raw and so gritty I had to clutch my seat waiting for something or someone to save Thun!
Just imagine having to fight off a lunatic with an old personal grudge who's tryna violate your boyfriend/girlfriend while hooked on steroid juice! I can only imagine the pure horror Keen was going through when Yut was reaching out to grab his face like a hungry predator ๐ฐ
and then... that's it?!
After the grand escape, Uncle Petch was captured by the same guy who feeds people to his rabid blood thirsty dog! poor thing was raised to be a weapon ๐ข it's not his fault.. please don't hate on Jonathan! speaking of which, who names a dog Jonathan?! Here in the BL community we only know one Jonathan and y'all know who I'm talking about ๐.
Thun and keen share an intimate shower and while I'm not complaining cause those two know exactly how to make a girl scream and kick the air ๐คญ, if I was Keem I would be hugging my boyfriend while sobbing uncontrollably after the sheer horror we've just experienced ๐ฅบ I guess me and keen process trauma differently! Because I won't be making soap bubbles in the shower with my badly wounded boyfriend no matter how cute and adorable that scene was ๐. I guess for me, the timing wasn't right.
Now what?! I don't believe a thug like Sia Thep claiming Keen's father stole his crypto wallet! if he did, he must have been threatened by other criminals because the world of Crypto is filled with those and Keen's father was desperate to pay for his wife's treatment ๐ข.
Yut is definitely still alive and like a raging bull he's still going after Thun! We just need to find out the source of his vendetta... talk about Pakorn only loves Thun?! ... like ... dude! FOR REAL!? That's his freaking son! of course he loves him more than anything in this world! .. Geeze ๐!
Pretty sure I read the subtitles and Chi was saying he doesn't want to "force" himself on Wei ๐ณ! ... Oh I'm sorry! Is that really an option! I don't normally watch CDramas but.. WTF!
