I think it will resonate a lot with the local public- while may not match the furore created by Bridal mask/Gaksital-a show which will really make you hate the Japanese forces

Or,why not think of it as a useful step back.I think this show will do very well internationally as I have not seen any shows dealing with this specific time period ,esp from the view of an American soldier who is actually a korean

I think we are not due for that surprise here.The story itself won't allow that to happen.I found the story much more fast paced than what Goblin gave in first 2 eps

Their cameos were a very pleasant surprise.Hope we see more such cameos during the show

She looks like some kind of a live doll in some of the training sequences.I think it was a stroke of genius for this casting to happen.

So,the most awaited show of the year has finally landed and how!

The first 2 episodes were just superb in terms of story,cinematography,visuals,action and pace.Kim Tae Ri is well cast in the female lead role without a doubt .LBH is ,of course great as are the other lead actors ,each well cast. For me,it it the story which is the strongest factor .

This is undoubtedly the Drama of the year.It has beaten DOTS,Goblin and many others in terms of quality with the first 2 eps itself.

One of the best examples of the genre is the non-creatively titled "Marriage Contract" It is unabashedly sentimental and superbly done.

Did you really see "secret" ?It is one of the more well regarded shows out there with superb performances and quite a different story.

Done more than midway through this.This is turning out to be one of the best Kdrama shows I have seen.The dialogues are golden and contain a lot of real life wisdom.

I know there will be angst coming in but it has been very good so far.

Am seeing a lot of comments on this show not airing this week.Relax !This will pass too .As someone who went through the same pain for other shows , all I can say is ,maybe check the last fave drama of the lead actor/s till the time.It will definitely help with the pain

Enjoying this .This Kdrama classic has it all.Superb actors and excellently written characters,a haunting OST ("Sorry to my Heart" is a mainstay on my playlist these days ) ,a story that paces like a thriller.

Wow,there are so many comments that MDL staff has to come and regulate the discussion. Seriously ,The buzz on this show is something else right now...

Let's keep our fingers crossed for that to happen.

Also,the show did not follow the manga it was based upon..a proper remake of the manga with a proper budget would have made the show a success

The reason as per me was expectations.When Haebaks bride started ,people expected another Gobli n but what they got was maybe 1/10th of it .Sorry to put it this bluntly

If you want a fast paced drama,romcoms /romance dramas are definitely not it as the genre tends to drag at some point .You should look at the thriller genre for fast paced stories.

Is it 5%for makeup ads ?I thought it was higher

While not exactly the same word,Some kdramas would have been better that way .Prime example of this is Blade Man (quite an underrated show)

Well,there are a couple of them :
1. Watch any fave Kdrama of the stars you like in this show till the next ep airs. My fave is Jung Kyoung Ho and his good shows as per me are Falling for innocence (romcom) and Heartless city (Thriller)

2. Start watching kdramas in 30 min slots instead of the usual 1 Hour slots.

I know the pain won't go away but you can manage it till the next ep airs.

The leads of this show are a solid couple and great lookimg.It was like they could run the entire show just showing them (the show was superb when it focused on them)
