Lee Jun Ki and Moon Chae Won look so good together in this show.Getting a whole Mr and Mrs.Smith Brad and Angelina vibe... To think that Criminal Minds wasted this lead pair chemistry in that show...
Hi all , I really liked this drama but I feel like it should've been a movie instead . I got so borred at most…
They could really make a movie of this,yes..But I felt it was a really well produced drama and habdled many of their secondary characters well.. Dont mean any disrespect but never thought I'd read a comment about Nails or Nail polish as a reason to dislike a drama.
The writer gave a movie level script in a weekly drama, guess that's why it didn't work for audiences looking at their weekly fix..As a binge,it is phenomenally good..It had a lot of heart and I am guessing many viewers will find it underrated for sure in the future..
Such a nice show..Left only with positive feelings as it ended. If you want a relaxed easy watch with pleasing locales, pleasant music, healing themes, intriguing plot points, lots of chemistry and very good performances across the cast, this is a good show to pick.PHJ was superb in this role.
While i dont recommend tragic endings, sometimes they work..In this remake of the Japanese drama, they have changed…
It was tragic ending but that ending was the only one that could be..Here it could have ended well too..The name is "100 million stars falling from the sky "
I really wanna watch this but i spoiled myself with ending and i usually don't watch drama's with tragic ending.…
While i dont recommend tragic endings, sometimes they work..In this remake of the Japanese drama, they have changed some key plot points and the tragic ending does not feel deserved-It was very much so in the Japanese original.. The Japanese original casting and acting also is far better (This one has a more glossy feel tho)
47% viewer ratings, and yet it feels like this drama is forgotten now.
Maybe but this show was the bomb back then...This show was the reason Hwayugi (Korean Odyssey) underperformed big time as they used to compete on the same time slot...
When this drama was on,I used to wait every week for it religiously..Went on with it until around Ep 49 and then felt they were going in for a sad /open ending for the lead couple and then stopped it..Many comments also indicated an abrupt end..I was frankly disappointed as the writer is one of my faves Decided to take up this show finally to sort of complete it and am amazed that such a good ending was panned so badly.. There is a lot of understatedness in the lead romance and the final moments of the show landed me back to the spot of the original sweet romance this show had promised..especially the connection with Ji An's father.
Not spoiling anything but I was satisfied with how the show ended..Would I want one more ep?who wouldn't but I loved this ending too
For those comparing it with My father is strange, this is not a comedy per se but deals with much more serious issues..Still,a very entertaining show ,superbly written and very well acted by the superb ensemble cast.
Eventho LJW is a newbie i have more faith on him to carry this drama than Go Ara...tbh
While I don't dislike Go Ara , I too would not bank on her to carry a drama like say , Shin Hye Sun or others like her.In all her successful shows ,she had strong male leads with her (not sure Ms.Hammurabi would count as a success) This show has a fab writer tho and maybe this can turn things around for her really well
U cant stop hype of a big project But Tv dramas are not movies and unless its solid all through ratings end up collapsing. Hype makes u check out stuff , if its not solid as per u you would not stick with it
Nice article..U have highlighted a common issue u face when there are just too many dramas to consume On your list ,ive kept Goblin on hold and didnt see the Cdrama u mentioned..Completed the others so i can add my bit 1. DOTS : I faced the same issue of getting stuck after 2 eps and completed it in bits and pieces. Its a drama u should not binge as per me.There are many tracks running and taking it 1 or 2 eps at a time should be good..what finally got me through were the fab locales-U need to see them-well done action and disaster scenes and increasingly good chemistry of both romantic pairs..Its a lovely entertaining show which has superb music, emotions in loads and is pretty like a picture post card.. 2. Pinochhio : Am not sure where u are but if u like well produced, emotional and revenge themed dramas u would like it..If u feel sad events are not your cup of tea, maybe skip it as there are lots of sad events that take place in it..I love the first half of this show a lot.
3.Forest : This is one of the recent dramas i find myself defending a lot against negative reviews..It starts oddly but there is a very good backstory filled with mystery, locales are lush and beautiful and chemistry was awesome. And PHJ is superb in thisb.I found it one of the years best dramas for me..
True risky move from LJK to play this. Seo In Guk took the same risk earlier last year. Will wait for this to completely air to know if he's a villain or not ..Am betting he is just a sociopath and not an actual killer as that would ensure a happy ending..Which I really want for LJK dramas
I adore this writers scripts- Shopping King Louie and Terius behind me were both home runs in terms of execution but they were both starring well known and solid male leads..Seo In Guk and So Ji Sub
This looks like a gamble where only the FL is a known name..Still,hope it does well.
