Wondering if anyone can provide some insight on what expectations one should have when watching this. Have seen…
You can watch this if you like Park Hae Jin,Fresh setting for a Kdrama (mostly based in a froest),Rescue team sequences, great OST , Briskly moving plot and finally lots of romantic chemistry between the leads.
I did feel this was Kim Tak Gu lite, made for todays audiences -Still, this can never come close to the makjang…
Baker king plot was invested more in its characters -this is a 16 ep show and anyway can't have that kind of depth. Nice to see a fellow Baker King watcher here ,though! That show is the best kind of Makjang and its ratings showed that no one can beat a makjang which is well done!
This show is basically Baker King Kim Tak Goo with less likeable characters. Saeroyi=Takgu, Yiseo=Misun, Soo Ah=Yookyung,…
I did feel this was Kim Tak Gu lite, made for todays audiences -Still, this can never come close to the makjang or emotional investment i had in Kim Tak Gu-That show was a very strong Father/Son and Brothers story . Geunsoo is not even a shade on Majun'character -Joo Won is miles ahead in everything .Park Seo Joon ,though good, is behind the fresh faced absolute goodness that Yoon Si Yoon brought to the Kim Tak Gu role I dont think they want the makjang levels of that one. This show has its stregth in the FL -Yi Seo is actually moving the plot.
I just binged 14/32 eps of this fast and must say this drama has been a great watch so far. This has a sedate pace which allows you to experience the "forest " to the max.The scenic locales are just great and provide a fresh setting than many recent Kdramas-Plus this has rescue team setting as well. PHJ has got a great role and is making the most of it as it alternates between many shades.Plus he looks as dreamy as ever! I was worried with the many negative comments but found myself having a great time with both the main story and the side stories. Jo Bo Ah is an actress i am liking more with each show. She is not conventionally pretty (at least as per me) but makes it up in spirit and acting. The SML Noh Kwang Shik is a great find and he is great opposite PHJ,which is a HUGE thing! The OST songs are breezy and fun esp Luna's Take me now This is a win from KBS as per me and considering i have liked a lot of their recent shows (Angels last mission,Doctor Prisoner,Tale of Nokdu,I wanna Hear your song etc.),guess they have stepped up their game a lot
Like seriously. I feel so bad for PHJ. The last drama of his I watched was Cheese in a trap and that too got so…
This is why i prefer pre produced series rather than ongoing ones. They stick to a story and dont suddenly change tracks for flimsy reasons CITT had the potential to be among the greatest Kdramas ever but messed it up with this stupid approach of hurting PHJ to boost SKJ. I also agree most production houses have no clue how to use PHJ properly. Still,i am now enjoying his appearance in this show, now that i have started watching it-binged 14/32 eps in one go..
Finally got around to starting this and am upto ep 6/32. Am actually enjoying this ride. The show is not a fast paced one but things move briskly when they do.Writer has chosen a fresh looking setting (rescue team/business/redemption) Some of the camerawaork in the forest is fabulous and the ending visuals in Ep 6 were especially pleasing. PHJ is back and while not as intense in some other roles,he looks great. Some of his scenes which require swift expressions were beautiful to see.Jo Bo Ah is an actress i am increasingly liking now -she is the whole package!Noh Kwang Shik as the second lead was a revelation. He looks great and has awesome presence in his scenes.I look forward to seeing him cast in some lead roles going forward For all those discouraged by the negative comments, give a try -the show could grow on you. P.S.Also love the ost esp.the one by Luna "Take me now "
This show has some great OSTs."Remember" by Kim Han Gyul is so good i cant stop once i start listening to it. Beautiful tune with minimal instrumentation (almost acoustic) and sung with such spirit ! Korean singers are sure a breed apart Also like Sinner and Game OSTs
This drama is a lesson why more shows should be preproduced. Skorea has had lot of production troubles on dramas (Iljimae,Bad Guy,The Last Empress ,The Return etc) Of course, you cant predict the scandal this drama faced, but it might have been better to get a complete show than to watch this mess . Honestly, knowing the background who would even start it unless they were so into it when the mess with Kang Ji Hwan started

What happened to PHJ in CITT is something I never understood. Why would a PD sabotage their lead ? I seriously feel he has some bad luck phase -Four Men was drama i would have been very happy to see-and that got shelved..His last show Man to Man was okayish but not Bad Guys level good
Just started catching up with the show and an upto Ep 9.The way the ex-cop gave it back to the Chairman was delicious ! The show is creating many supporting characters which have a strong arc as well. Also, the never give up attitude of Park Se roi was again on display as he decided that helping his fellow restaureurs with their business was the way to help his own business-it is a valuable life lesson ! The show is a great example of how an old style revenge story can be made to appear fresh and imparting life lessons as well.
Highly underrated !

This is getting to be a great OST collection!
