The show got much better from Ep 3.Am upto Ep 8 and this is a beautifully made ,acted and directed show.Writing looks cliche initially but had a lot of fresh elements as the show progressed.Action scenes, though few were also good.
Done with Ep 7.A bit more of the back story was shown and how sides will be taken. Loved the penultimate scene between Sae Ro yi and Yi Seo.There were few words but they really felt like 2 souls who belonged together. The reaction of Sae Ro yi when asked by Yi Seo that he must have felt so alone all these years(she was seeing all his scars) was so heartbreaking -it was an admission I would not associate with a character like him but his vulnerability was so refreshing and gives hope that he is on the path to move on from So Ah.Beautiful acting by both the actors in that scene This is the ship to root for ,no doubt.
I appreciate "they sue us for stealing their movies" and as I'm writing it I'm just sat here like "well then why…
Absolutely.Remakes can be good-many of these add local flavors which enhance the final product ,but it is best to remake officially, to give due credit to the orig story,to save hassles and to build buzz for your product I am guessing post the win of "Parasite" many will watch subtitled K movies and figure out that there is an ocean of great stories available here It can also work both ways as many Indian movie too have great stories..
Let the games begin.I bet nobody could have dreamt that a depressing movie like "Parasite" would be accused of plagiarism by a Tamil musical rom com (The plot is really way different !) I would say the reverse is actually occurring.Korean movies are actually great remake fodder for Indian languages and quite a good number of commercially successful and acclaimed films are based on S Korean originals like Masquerade (Prem Ratan Dhan Payo) Oldboy (Zinda) Attack the gas station (Moodar Koodam), My Sassy Girl (Ugly Aur Pagli), An ode to my Father(Bharat-official remake) ,Ajusshi -The man from Nowehere (Rocky Handsome-official remake), A Bittersweet Life (Awarapan),My Gangster Hero (Jayantabhai ki Luv Story/Kadalum Kadanthu Pogum-official),Te3n (Montage-official remake) ,7 days (Zazbaa-official remake) , The Chaser (Murder 2)
Remakes are unofficial unless indicated (to the best of my Knowledge)
I've been eyeing these two up for a while from finding this film so I def wanna look more into them. Anything…
Kim Nam Gil has had an active Kdrama career-You can try The Fiery Priest,Bad Guy,Shark and Live up to the name Ha Jung Woo has had more movies-Chaser,The Handmaiden and Along with the Gods series are good ones.H.I.T is his one Kdrama I liked a lot.
