Just started this after keeping on hold for A long time, courtesy Netflix. Was blown away by the set up and the thrills generated in the first case-it almost felt i was in the middle of the whole scenario.Great job by the production team. Jang Hyuk and Lee Ha Na are a great team. Looks like i have found another show to watch completely.
I have seen Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin earlier but HB has never been more dashing and SYJ has never been prettier than she is in this ! Must be the magic of the story-i find myself delaying to watch this so that the story does not end..I now understand what many in comments are talking abt "Withdrawal" symptoms..
Originally, the romance and great writing was what drew me to Kdramas.
Lately,i am seeing many Kdramas heading for different non-romantic storylines.Still,There are some recent Kdramas which are definitely strong on romance (in addition to some shows you had mentioned) 1. Beautiful Love ,wonderful life (esp the lead couple) 2. Itaewon class (airing) 3. Doctor John 4. Something in the rain 5. Whats wrong with Secretary Kim? 6. Weighlifting fairy Kim Bok Joo 7. Love Affairs in the afternoon 8. My Holo Love (Netflix drama) 9. People with flaws 10. Hyena (airing)
I feel bad not being able to watch this.Park Hae Jin shows up in a drama after a long break and i am not able to see it,call it the curse of a very tight work schedule !
Glad I waited for it to end before watching. Only took 1 weekend to finish I couldn't put it down. Very unhealthy…
I have done my fair amount of bingeing so i knownthe feeling but think everyone has a different way to look at dramas. There are some dramas which encourage bingeing and some you shoudnt. I am watching "Crash Landing..." in small spurts and am finding i enjoy watching it that way -this show shouldnt be binged as per me as when you binge, you tend to miss out on a lot of the small nuances the show puts out. There is a reason this show is such a strong success-it connects with you at a human level and is beautifully made.
LMH has not had such tragedies. This looks like a good fantasy drama !
Yes,that could cause some concern as her recent shows didnt exactly end well (I still dont know how anyone thought Mr.Sunshine could have a happy end-i knew the ML would die for his country from Ep 1 and the story setting was basically about Japanese conquest of Korea Still,i hope KES doesnt do any such work in this show -LMH fans (incl me ) wouldnt like a sad ending.

Come on,City Hunter is no tragedy-a second season was hinted but never made. Also, that historic series (Faith) actually saw him ending with the femald lead.
This is a special one. There's a superb cast, of course, and a heartwarming story. Both Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin…
While i agree ,i think this message forces you to portray N Korea in too positive a light -come on ,she would have really died the first day she landed there if she met anyone else other than Captain Ri Captain Ri also is too good to be real,a pianist -who went to switzerland and a disciplined soldier who takes such risks for her ! Still,i agree that many actual cititzens (not the military types) would be happy to be friends with S Korea
I think if I've watched this weekly I would have loved it more. For me it was a good drama, but I started watching…
Would suggest that viewers should take time to see it and not binge it.It makes sense for this show as many eps are around 1.5 Hrs in length ! I tried binging on it and was getting bored and writing cliche-stopped that and started watching 1 ep at a time and found i really appreciated the drama more This is a beautifully produced show and deserves to be savored in moderation,as per me.
If i were in my first year of drama watching i would have given this drama a 10 no doubt, and tried to watch every…
I disagree -as ive pointed out earlier, the writer does portray cliches but does bring in many fresh elements here-esp. The whole N Korean world building is beautifully done -there are many occassions where the show switched to S Korea and i hoped it was back to the North (that is where the love story is !) Regarding MLFTS ,it was one of my first Kdramas and it was one of the reasons i even considered watching Kdramas since i was a HUGE fan of the lead actress there since My Sassy Girl I still feel the production quality of MLFTS was superior and refined which managed cliche writing at some point.
This show really got sublime in Ep 9.The acting, the heroism, revelations and separation were beautifully portrayed. While Hyun Bin has been superb as the stiff but vulnerable hero, Son Ye Jin especially impressed here And the 4 teammates were stars in their own right !
