It's a shame the politics aren't written in an engaging way. Instead of intrigue and complexity, it falls flat and is boring instead.

Always a pleasure to see Chin Shih Chieh in a drama.

Action scenes and sword duels are nicely choreographed and filmed here. Much better than recent dramas even.

Lots of familiar faces among the supporting cast

Long Qing seems to be the insufferable hypocrite type. This type is annoying to watch onscreen, especially with everything being excused as "god of light's doing"

This is Tang Dynasty in name only. Everything is more pseudo-fantasy clothing and setting

Just finished CFY's latest drama and now I can't wait for this one. Hope it will be just as fabulous😆

Finally had the chance to sit down and watch the last episodes. For a drama that no one had any expectations of, it's so well executed! Both leads did a great job in their roles, especially CFY who often gets criticized for poor acting. Also, WYL is definitely an actress to watch out for in upcoming works.

I'm a bit sad it's ended and will miss it but there's always a re-watch later.
