I am from SEA. Grew up watching Cdramas so I understand the politics involved. It's normal that every country has its own media. Look at the Americans and Russians for example, lot of propaganda.
I like this drama, but I am quite disappointed with how the story is, specially since its only 30 episodes. I…
The only thing he could do was invade Yannan and that wasn't going to happen. It's a nomadic tribe/barbarian vs civilized society/Han chinese. You could say it's censorship.
Also JQL's family are useless, depending on her for everything. Father is weak in character and easily frightened, second sister is typical sheltered young woman, and third sister only knows to get angry and get into fights. No wonder FL had to assume a male identity.
I want to see how they resolve this plot point with the paranoid king. Can't see a way for the main leads to live together unless they go to a neutral territory. JQL will always be a pawn if she stays in Yannan. And she's not willing to kill the second branch so how to solve that problem.
HJ is just a servant. He can't go up against royalty or disobey her
Technically the princess and Qimin are married since they went through all the rites. The marriage wasn't consummated but the princess is still his legal wife. Poor guy is trying hard to deny it

I didn't get the feeling that he loves her. He's checking on her to make sure she's safe. Since he has a good chance of losing his head if anything happens to her. After all the king tasked him with protecting her.
That must be the saddest wedding in Cdrama. It was sad in a quiet, non dramatic way. I feel bad for Qimin but he has to let go already. I don't think he's even called FL by her given name at all. The princess was pitiful here, the way she forced herself to drink the wedding wine.
This is one of the best written FLs I have seen. She stays true to her character, her decisions are true to who…
This FL is rare in Cdrama-land. Her attitude towards life and romance is very practical and unconventional. Viewers say they want a strong female character and here is one. XL is an aggressive and domineering male lead, if she wasn't tough and smart he'd walk all over her.
For all the people criticizing the FL, she and Qimin are actually very similar. Same way of thinking, same way of dealing with the world. Smart and ruthless, except for the person they love
The actress has played other roles including a gentle, noble lady. So your comment is a bit harsh.
