Really liked the last conversation between Chen Ye and FL. That he clashed with her all the time but never intended to physically harm her. That was an added dimension to his character.

Kudos to costume and set designers matching Fan Yue's clothes and palace decor with aurora colours💙💜 It's a nice nod to his title as king of the polar realm

Also I think this is the first drama that puts the life span difference between a mortal and a god in a positive light. Like saying "You have to take care of me when I grow old". Usually it's played for maximum angst.

Agree. He had a good character arc and his ending was impactful. FL has a nihilistic streak that's hard to accept, she said it herself that she just wants to drag everyone into hell with her. I mean I get it but that kind of person can't be redeemed.

Chen Ye's death and past hit me harder than CZ and FL's shenanigans. He feels like a more interesting and consistent character. Smarter too. I hope the actor gets more roles in the future. His soft, sinister attitude was great for a villain character.
