The first two chapters didn't perform as well as hoped so many viewers refuse to watch this third part.

The only person who calls ML by his name is FL. Just how sad is that? They all call him "Soldier" the way one would call a sword a sword. Zero sympathy from me to Hongye and all his friends.

I think the issue with this verse is the main villain is not that scary, even seems silly at times with all the bragging and evil laughter. There's not a sense of danger or high stakes.

You don't need to. Each one is a stand alone and each part explains enough in its own intro. Yes, I watched the previous two and I don't think it matters much.

This bias comes across in character names and clothing and political stance in a historical drama, rather than an actor playing a demon.
