BBD's backstory is so sad and messed up that it led her to become whatever she is now. Otherwise, she could have been such a nice character. It's sad to know that first she was married to his old man, then got abused by him, and then got left by YXG. This girl needs love.

No, you can say she just has a crush on Asura King(Tang Yin) because he saved her and protected her. She only likes him because she doesn't know that he's Tang San. But eventually, she will find out the truth soon.

I'm trying to follow the Donghua based on the drama; it kinda made me realize some of the changes they made. I don't think the Donghua watchers will be able to tell. But I don't think it is a bad thing since, in my opinion, the changes kinda make it interesting.

Just a heads up, it won't be entirely the same. The anime is more centered around Tang San. But as an anime fan, you should watch it; it is one of the best.

Now that watching this drama, I kinda want to watch the Donghua again. Even though it is not entirely the same, I'm kinda glad they added a new side of the story, like Mubai and Xiao Wu, and not just Tang sans training. It makes it more interesting to watch.

The best thing that the production has done is use the OG ost of the Donghua. Trust when it started playing first, I was left shocked. I am SO HAPPY; it just gave me this nostalgic feeling.

I think we need a warning sign for the watcher that they do not need to watch the Douluo Continent because then they will be more confused since TLOW is a live-action version of the Donghua that follows an accurate storyline and is nothing like DC.

People also need to stop comparing them two because there is nothing to compare besides the characters, power, and graphics. Only the characters will be the same, and a few add-ons and the powers will be the same, too, but yes, the graphics will be different since TLOW is following the Dongua storyline and setting.

I have just watched the 1st episode, and so far, I think this is very similar to the Donghua, and it gives me this nostalgic feeling since the Donghua is one of my favs.

As for the issue of the background info, I know some people are questioning it, but there is nothing much you need to know besides what they are providing. That is because the episode before was just them training together and going to school, getting to know each other, and competing in the tournament, in which they defeated all the teams like underdogs and reached the final, where the drama started. All the episodes were about them training to prepare for this fight and win, and then BOOM, something big happens, and the real storyline starts.

Sorry, but first of all, you are comparing this with the wrong show. Douluo Continent was a stand-alone, meaning it didn't follow the real storyline; only the character and the power were the same, and the character description wasn't even accurate to the Longhua. So, if you are comparing this with that, then naturally, it is going to feel different because TLOW follows the storyline where Ma Hongjun is a little chubby, and Ouske looks younger. According to Donghua, all the characters are very accurate. I get what you mean, but if you have watched the Donghua, then you will understand what I mean and why the characters are perfect.

OMG YES. I liked how they showed their bond. It was so sincere. Same. I can't wait; this makes me want to rewatch the Donghua. Yes, the Tang arc was perfect, too. The donghua itself was at its peak after the time skip.
