That is, because Victor Ma doesn't fit the role of Sangyan in his story line. I get your feelings. Here is how I see it. Sang yan in the sister story is very childish, outgoing, and older brother-like. But Sang Yan's story is very different, and I believe only the novel readers understand. It is like one body but 2 different people. In his story, Sang Yan is tall like BJT and is cold, giving off bad boy energy. In my opinion, Victor Ma wouldn't fit the role here, and this is where BTJ fit perfectly. I think people should really give Bai Jingting a chance.

ISTG, when forever love started playing in the background, I was too stunned to speak. Like, they really caught me off guard with that one. Whoevers ideas it was, well done, like it was a perfect example for the first episode.

The first few episodes are crucial because they are the foundation of the shows. If the first few episodes
aren't good enough, then it will be hard to get the viewers attention.
I have to give it to the team of this drama. They really executed it perfectly. As a person who
read the novel and the manhua, so far it is very well accurate.
It is only the first episode, dude. I can already feel the chemistry between the couple.
AND BJT, do I even need to say anything about him? This man is perfect, like LITERALY. How
Can he be this good-looking and captivating? Beside, he was perfect for the role of Sang Yan.

I agree; I think they streched a lot of unnecessary parts for the 5th sister, which kind of made it boring. I wish they took a different approach and made it more interesting.

On a serious note, the Chinese drama industry should really consider making more drama like this. This drama was really a refresher since it was different from other dramas. Most of the
time, all the drama goes for a similar approach, whether its historical, modern, or
wuxia/xinxia.
DONT GET ME WRONG; its not like I don't enjoy it; I like it, of course.
But... it never hurts to try something new like this.
I really liked the idea of each lead having their own story while still connecting with the other as well and keeping the flow.
I have to say this drama was truly a refresher and the best start of 2025 for me at least.
I went into this drama for WXY but ended up falling for Winwin, Chen He Yi, and most
Importantly, Madan Li (she was my fav character, I loved her, but WXY you will always be my favorite no matter what).
All the stories were nice and interesting in their own way.
It's sad that there won't be more episodes. 36 ep didn't feel enough. Honestly, I want more.
