Isn't it considered rape by deception according to law if you know that someone wouldn't consent to you if you give them full truth or information so you deceive them to gain their consent but law doesn't treat that as real consent and it's exploitation of the victim. It's not that much of an accent issue nowadays tbh. most actors gets dubbed by VA in idol historical dramas if their voice is is not that suitable for the ancient characters. We got ding yuxi dubbed in love game in eastern fantasy & his recent drama the road to splendor, cheng lei dubbed in legend of the female general, zhang linghe dubbed in pursuit of jade, yanan dubbed in where the mask ends, heck mzy has never dubbed her own historical dramas yet so they use VA for her too everytime or if we go to past hit or classic dramas then even empress in the palace and legend of shenli main leads are dubbed. Those are very big established actors but even they needed to be dubbed and it's all production team decision. Whd has been dubbing his own dramas post unchained love. Dafeng was a hit with his own voice and his upcoming male centric drama live long and prosper is also his own voice so clearly there is no problem him dubbing himself if it suits the vibe. These 2 are male centrics with passionate young raw characters so it suits him. I also really love his own voice but I get why they are going for dubbing this time. Most idol dramas has mls which are more of tool character and has to be hottest and their voice needs to be swoon worthy and deep but whd voice is more young boi vibes

Alsoooo the veteran actresses ATE the roles. Truly a real female centric story which is all about our female cast. The thing which I appreciate most about wtme is how all these female characters have flaws and not the Mary sue perfect goody two shoes characters. They are evil, selfish, scheming type etc etc & that's the appeal of the story. It doesn't feel preachy & no spoon-feeding the audience too much about women empowerment or girl boss FL. A chou has her own flaws and she is also selfish and I love her like that. Same is about almost all female characters in this drama

Ep 16 was peak but now I am wondering what will happen in remaining eps cuz we already got the whole revelation and all the villains being exposed. I hope the drama remains as enjoyable in second half as the first half was

Xjx role is very iconic. Even tho his screentime is less, he is 10x more popular or fan fav than shen miao among novel fans. Don't worry you will see plenty of iconic moments and good romance in this drama. And hopefully he will pick up few idol drama scripts from time to time too cuz I do want to see him in a modern romance drama. It can be a mature urban setting or dark romance hehe but let's see what he chooses next

Firstly tiger is an animal with no human brain or morality. This guy is a grown man with a functioning brain & responsible for his own actions & no one else. Just because she is confronting him again doesn't mean she is asking for it & he can exploit her now. This is like saying that this world is a dangerous jungle & you should not wear small dresses & then walk at street especially at night knowing that it can provoke tigers (men) to harass or rape you. Even if I am wearing a bikini, you don't have any right to touch me. You are a grown adult who should take accountability of your own actions & here audience blaming a young & confused girl who is the victim of his sexual abuse. Again this is all just victim blaming instead of holding the real preparator accountable for his own actions. If the girl shot or kill him after his constant abuse, would you say he was asking for it? I honestly would support her but I bet comments here will villainize her even though she has perfect reason to hate her abuser and just because he has feelings for her that doesn't mean he is entitled to have her and she can't reject him. In comparison, audience is still excusing or even defending him exploiting her again and again because poor grown up man can't help or control his feelings so the young girl should be more mature and be the reasonable one

Ep 15 was peakkk. Finally an ep where villains were ahead of A chou and she got fooled by them but man fuck everyone who made my baby cry. She deserves so much better and omg I want her birth mother to beg & cry when she realizes who is her actual daughter. Villains esp that aunt who installed bitao with A chou for this moment is so sinister but I love her acting

Finished ep 6 and damn they have chemistry. I am really invested in Ah chou and ml romantic progression. Guy is denying but he feels something for her

I am liking this drama but I couldn't tell them apart in that water fight scene. I wish it was more visible but overall txw doing good. The plot requires a bit suspension of belief to keep going but since the drama is entertaining and not boring, it doesn't affect my enjoyment
