Kamisama hajimemashita or Kamisama kiss is a gem! Love the story and I do not mind a live-action adaptation of it! Too bad the anime only stopped at the moment after Nanami managed to subdue the evil aura from the spider and the first romantic kiss initiated by Tomoe. The story in the manga has continued beyond that and it is superbly told. Highly recommended that you follow the progress of the story via the manga. :)

Re. Heirs - it will be popular because of the idol line-up. This is a drama catered for the young fangirls market. I will watch it after it has finished airing, at my own leisure - so I could fast forward the parts I do not like and later write a review on it. Currently, no impetus to watch it; unless proven wrong re. storyline. A bit saturated with ghost stories. Maybe writers in Korea are lacking come creative juices? I am still waiting for the next outstanding drama from Korea. Been a while.

I watched Love You 10000 years a while ago and sad to say, I am in the camp that did not like the movie. However, I am King and Chongmage Purin are two wonderful movies. Of the two, I am King is the better choice (if you have time to only watch one). :) Thanks for the recommendations.

YSY was a good choice. Despite the age difference with the female lead, he pulled it off nicely....and who can forget that hot kissing scene in the street stall?? At least now we know that YSY not only can act well, he can kiss well too! No comment re. LMH (Ice Prince) and Sukkie. Admittedly, Sukkie is a better actor... but...both are idol actors and they cater to a popular niche market. Therefore, best left to fangirls. I love the older and seasoned actors, eg: Jang Hyuk & Cha Seung Won but I agree that SG=Binnie.

Yes, I am. Rest assured.. I'm still breathing. LOL For you, I've actually gone and created a Tumblr account. Pardon this ahjumma for being a technological idiot. I do not keep to blogs that much but for you my dear, twin.... I am officially aryael007 in tumblr. I am still quite pissed that someone took MY nick (Aryael) in Tumblr! I wonder if they realise that there is a copyright attached to the nick? It is coincidentally, the name of my fav character from one of my novels! *humpph!*

Love the article! You do have a knack for writing articles. Your style of writing is so similar to my youngest sis'...I am beginning to wonder if you are the same person! *please say you are not!* She has recently just published her first book. Fancy joining the club? :D

Please check your formatting. You have a picture of the 8th Prince under the headline of the 14th Prince. And…
Yes, a severe faux pas for those of us who absolutely worship the princes! LOL How are you, twin?? Overcame BBJX withdrawal syndrome now that Shark's on air? :)

Finally someone wrote about BBJX. I watched this when it was airing and was part of the subbing team. Though it has finished airing ages ago (in fact they are filming BBJX 2 now which is an offshot story set in the current modern time. Princes 4, 8 & 14 are back - this time, in a corporate struggle and romance theme.) Those of you who had watched Palace Lock Heart will realise that PLH is nothing compared to this masterpiece! Highly recommended and highly addictive!! Do not start on this drama unless you had cleared all your duties and be prepared to skip sleeping for a day or two to marathon it till the end! The OSTs are brilliant too! :)

Wow, finally someone actually mentioning Perhaps Love, an all time favourite of mine. A truly beautiful movie,…
Haha... my twin got sassy with me when I finally revealed my secret and she swore that she will make gifs out of him like crazy! I told her to lay off her bro-in-law or I'll be flirting with her KNG in return! So, likewise, ams... keep to Binnie. I heard his first film since getting out will be out soon. Counting down the days??? ;)

Brain comes back to you with age and maturity. At your age, hormones and emotions rank higher. I suppose everyone will have to go through this phase in life. I was a pretty hormonal and passionate younger lady. Now in my middle age.. I mellowed somewhat and brain took over. My preference in dramas and movies changed. Therefore, I agree with brain all the way, though I understand what you are going through too. :)

Hear hear! You must admit that my hubby looks good in "Perhaps Love". Oh, btw, ams... meet THE man whom I had been faithful to for over 20 years! You were only partially right to say he was chinese/taiwanese! ;) Paradise Kiss was good too and I agree that He Was Cool was an absolute flopper! I can think of at least a dozen Korean romantic movies that are waaay much better than He Was Cool.

KDramas are popular because it appeals to the younger female cohort (teenagers to 30s). Because the younger age group are the ones who prefer Korean dramas, you hear more about it in the online community such as blogs, youtube, social medias etc because it is the younger women who would gush about dramas online and would engage in idolism. The older generation use less of these online methods, hence you do not hear much from them in the virtual world. Therefore, just because there are more "noise" in the virtual world about KDramas, does not neccesary mean that KDramas are the best preferred drama around. I can vouch for my age group (middle aged to elderly ahjummas) that many of my peers still prefer the "long-winded" drama from HK, China and Taiwan over KDramas (not to say we do not watch KDramas... we do, but perhaps not the same sort of KDramas that appeal to younger women).

A Little Thing Called Love and Love You You are good picks. Wonderful romance movies for a relaxing weekend. If you are looking for another nice Thai romantic movie, you can try "Suddenly It's Magic". It is a collab between Thai and Phillipine and there's enough English in the movie that the average non-Thai, non-Phillipina viewer could understand even without subs. It is acted by the same actor who acted in A Little Thing Called Love. :)

Li Da Ren in In Time With You is not Korean, he is Taiwanese. Anyho, I prefer the silent lovers. :) I am lucky enough to have married one. :)

Good picks. Watched all of them. A bit of warning for young viewers; Lust, Caution has very explicit sex scenes. Tang Wei was boycotted by certain quarters after filming Lust, Caution and Tony Leung was ridiculed for showing his privates in the movie. Some have actually called it a XXX-rated movie. I would advise young viewers (yes, you teenagers and young adults with no or minimal sexual experience) to avoid watching this movie. Lust, Caution is definitely for those who are more sexually matured. My favourite of the 3 is Infernal Affairs. There are Infernal Affairs 2 & 3. "Mou Kang Tou" (Infernal Affairs in Cantonese) is a real classic in HK. Ask any HKers about "Mou Kang Tou" and they would give high praises for the movie. I had watched Infernal Affairs 3 - it was good. Perhaps, you can try watching IF 1,2 & 3 for the weekend. Happy watching!
