Someone spoiled the ending below in the comments without using a spoiler tag, it’s a huge spoiler so watch out if you haven’t finished it yet, I unfortunately got spoiled :’)
I will say that the acting is superb in this drama; totally agree about the actress acting “Reina “ is amazing.…
Uhm?! Add a spoiler tag if you’re going to drop such a huge bomb… :/ why do some people on this site not have decency this seriously pissed me off. I haven't enjoyed a drama like this in a while and then get revealed about the ending thanks to you 🤦♀️ the spoiler tag exists for a reason people. And especially for something that happens at the end it should be common sense to at least give a warning no?
Oh wow I'm shocked that the evil friend is the same actress from Dakara Watashi wa Oshimashita, she's all grown up now and feels so different here like it's unexpected to see her play a villainous role like this but she's doing great
He told her brother about the problem she had at school, asked him to go to talk with her teacher. But SY didnt…
Yeah no, once again we have very different views on this and you're reading way too much into what I said. I never thought the meetup had ill intentions behind it, that's the last thing I thought because I know the male lead is not that kind of person. All I'm saying is that I don't get why the writers put that in because of reasons I already mentioned above and I'm just surprised I'm the only one who felt weird about it. And no I don't think the same that this is what the writers were waiting for neither do I agree with everything else you wrote. This is all I will say, goodbye.
Overall rating for this show would probably be a 7/10 for me. I had fun but also think a lot of things could've…
Hani's mom. I think she's a terrible person for what she's done but she did come back for Hani and I think that's what's most important. I don't think it was right from Beom Soo to ban her from seeing her own child and essentially wanting to raise Hani without acknowledging her birth mother. The only person who has a say in this is Hani but she's too young for it now. Grown up Hani could blame her dad for making this decision, we will never know. But I think her mom has the right to stay in her life even after what she's done. I'm glad Seri eventually opened up to her.
The main leads relationship. Like many others, I too felt like the romance was very forced. It felt one-sided from the chairman's side. Kwang Sook seemed to care most about the brewery and her in-laws so their romance never felt convincing. Really not sure what exactly went wrong here, I want to say it's a combination of the script and how the actress carried herself.
The pregnancy wish. Well this one was just awful. What was up with the forced pregnancy? Just terrible. No idea what the writers were even thinking. Kwang Sook seemed unwilling from the start but the chairman kept pushing and then even used his one wish to force her into giving in. If this wasn't fictional I would've proposed a divorce right there and then.
Victimizing Seri's dad. I couldn't take any of these scenes serious like are you kidding. Why are we feeling sad for the guy who deserves it? I genuinely did not think it would go in this direction and it's kinda crazy that it did. He'd been nothing but a terrible person throughout the whole show. Seri and her mom mourning like that was so unbelievable to watch. The writing took such a dip at the end it's like they just gave up.
Overall rating for this show would probably be a 7/10 for me. I had fun but also think a lot of things could've been handled better, especially at the end. I won't be addressing all of it but just want to share some things that had been on my mind.
A beautiful short film handled with a lot of care, just so lovely that it made me cry a few times. The lead actress also did an amazing job, will definitely be checking out more of her work.
I loved it and binged the first half. Started skimming through the last half though because it felt a bit too long. Would still highly recommend because it's a very fun and memorable family drama worth the time!
Idk if I'd call it racist but it's true that South Korea has a track record of deeming curly hair as unattractive…
My comment was more aimed at the discussion that started below. There's too little known about the movie right now to make a judgement on the details. Edit: I see that the article does describe her hair as "curly" so it's not irrelevant after all

Well ridiculing someone for their natural born features is never okay, even if those features don't fit a country's beauty standards. Idc if they think it's unattractive just don't assign negative stereotypes to them in movies and shows because millions of people are born that way. I'm not going to continue this discussion so goodbye.
what are these comments lmao its not racist. im portugese/canadian and I had similar hair growing up, VERY thick…
Idk if I'd call it racist but it's true that South Korea has a track record of deeming curly hair as unattractive in their media. Not sure if that's what this movie is aiming at but it's the first thing I thought of too when I read the plot. You'd think it's an outdated trope but it's unfortunately still very much relevant. The ongoing kdrama I'm currently watching (Five Eagle Brothers) also has a supporting character with curls who was considered unattractive at the start but later had a glow up with straight hair. It's ridiculous honestly. Hope this movie does not have that sort of message.
It’s just horrible I don’t know why ppl like it so much when it’s so clearly written for men, it’s actually…
Would you still have disliked the movie if there were no sexual scenes? Just curious cuz your criticism is very valid but outside of that I think it's still a great revenge movie in itself
