Title Call It Love
Lost interest at the end because the "big secret" was dragged out for way too long and it wasn't even serious…
I disagree with it not being a big deal, I think it's really depended on culture how heavy a situation like that is. There are families who probably won't care but also families that definitely will. I don't think it was unrealistic that it wasn't taken lightly in the show at all. Don't remember how much they dragged it tbh but just wanted to give my 2 cents on the topic since norms and values are different everywhere and for everyone

You're missing one important evidence. He sent her love letters from military while she was 17. When that came…
I absolutely agree. People online are mean, too mean. They've gotten so comfortable being anonymous and able to judge and disrespect anyone to extreme extents. If it's not something you can say to someone in real life then don't say it online either. When someone still does then I think it says a lot about them as a person and I don't think it's worth to pay them any attention. You seem like a reasonable and empathic person, don't mind people like that youtuber guy even if their comments frustrate you because unfortunately not everyone has a kind heart. You know better than that and that's what matters most :)

Yeah this is just our difference in views of how morally right it is. No matter the circumstances, having that huge of an age gap between those ages is distasteful to me and I think an adult should know better. It especially makes me question and lose respect for the older party if they’ve seen that person grow up from a child age too.

As for everything else, we just sadly live in a digital era where online cancel culture has gotten huge and I don’t think it will ever change honestly. I tend to ignore anyone who engages in this behavior just for the sake of hating and participating in gossip. This KSH case is one of the few that stood out to me, usually I don’t get involved either and I’m glad because people take it way too far far too often

I get where you’re coming from. The one difference in your story tho is that your teacher did not lust or get romantically involved with you once you reached adult age. Kim Soo Hyun did. That to me is already gross behavior. Especially if you’ve seen that person grow up, the ones I know like this in real life will always remain like that in my eyes. As for an investigation, if it’s only about him dating Sae Ron as a minor it won’t happen since age of consent was 13 back then

These kind of comments are seriously tiring. The amount of evidence that has come out proving of him at least…
Yes. Why does an almost 30 year old man have to be that close to a teenager and sent her letters while he’s in military? Saying he misses her and using nicknames then apparently 2 years later they actually start dating. You can make what you want of it but to me it can't look any more obvious

Well here is the article of the agency confirming the letters: https://www.edaily.co.kr/News/Read?newsId=01239846642103320&mediaCodeNo=258. Obviously he's never going to admittely say it's a love letter because this was while she was still a minor as well, but sending her letters in the first place saying he misses her and using nicknames and then 2 years later they "actually" start dating. You can make what you want of it but to me it can't look any more obvious

Not at all it's just how I interpreted your long replies, not sure why you think I'm gaslighting or harassing you

It's more like I find it interesting that you seem to get worked up over SIGS comment that's why I said I'd just ignore whoever disagrees with the statement of separating art from an artist. As for KSH being guilty or not, his agency confirming the military love letters he sent her when she was 17 is the one thing that convinced me

You seem to be getting very worked up and I don't really get why because it sounds like you already know where you stand at. Separating art from an artist is fine. If people want to boycott let them be, I myself won't be watching any of KSH's work anymore either, but if others still want to check out work that he happens to be in that's fine too (The Thieves is a great movie with a huge star filled cast). A lot of people often feel like they are on some moral high ground. Where the line needs to be drawn tho is actively supporting the artist himself if you know he's a terrible person but as long as you're aware I don't see any harm and I'd just ignore whoever is judging you for it

There actually isn't because Kim Soo Hyun will never be prosecuted since the age of consent was 13 years old at the time

I have a couple of questions and hoping someone can clue me in. I had heard about Kim Sae Ron's drunk driving…
This is not a case of the internet wanting a new target to bully. We’re talking about Kim Soo Hyun here, most paid actor of South Korea with an inmense popular filmography. Him being a wolf in sheep’s clothing has shocked everyone, of course people are upset and making so much noise
