Fair enough. Escapism is important agreed and some may prefer the lighter tackling of these topics. But I disagree that most of the Thai BLs are a good modern escapist representative of a gay fantasy. For one, they're full of problematic topics. SOTUS is definitely a benign one, but major Thai BLs especially ones like MAME's LBC universe or 2gether are really toxic. It's less of an escapism and more of a homophobic show disguised as gay friendly if you ask me.
Probably yes. The reason he got possessed was he had the intent to kill in the first place. So he was messed up…
Yeah that is true. The way he acts it's more of a sociopathic than psychopathic and sociopathy is acquired not congenital. So his childhood traumas prolly caused him to be messed up in the head.
A happy ending is unlikely. The only way to redeem his character is to get him some psychiatric help in jail.
P.S so many props to this show. Speaking on real LGBT topics like "Micro-Aggressions" and how to be a real ally…
LMAO EXACTLY! Like the amount of time they say "I'm not gay, I just like you". If I could get a dime for everytime these shows say that, I'd be a millionaire!!
HAAHHA Right?!!! God i hate Ro Na 90% of the time.
SeokHoon deserves nothing better. He's the pos who was bullying Seol-A, just because she was poor in the beginning. Him and that shetty Rona deserve each other because they're both terrible people.
It's an exasperatingly frustrating ride but it's the type of drama that keeps you captivating solely on how terrible it is (in a moral way). I've seen all the episodes and I can tell you the 17 hours went by very fast. It's the type of drama that makes you incredibly mad, but the anger keeps you watching it.
I love it but it's a makjang so it's up to you if you like the genre or not :)
It's not a makjang. Makjangs are daily/weekend airing soap operas that go on for ~100 (or more) eps. But it has similar elements as Makjangs. Although nowadays people misuse the term a lot. But in Korean contexts, they never refer to dramas that are 16-20 episodes as "makjang" no matter how exaggerated they are.

AiB is in my Netflix watchlist as well. I was thinking of watching it soon.
