Yeah. Loosing your family is one thing. Loosing them to such tragic end (beheaded, beaten) because of something you did. The guilt would be tremendous 😫 even her maid suffered the same fatal fate.
Self preservation, that's the theme. Human mind protects themselves from further trauma.
Many people who suffers traumatic events usually do not remember the traumatic event that caused it.
HQ minds protect herself by creating an elaborate dream like reality where she gets to change the outcome of her misdeed.
I find it interesting that in her dream life, she pushed ZXW love away. She chose living in peace away from everything and only allowing HRZ (in an essence herself) by her side.
But in the end, she choose to face reality, knowing that ZXW will be by her side to face life. Harsh as it is.
