So⦠Lets see if I understand right. Benz likes Riw. Meen likes Riw. And Riw likes Meen. Benz keeps doing things to tease Riw and try to make him jealous. And things escalate after Benz starts receiving potentially mixed signals from Riw. And he thinks that by getting rid of Meen, he can have Riw to himself.
But it really isnāt clear. It feels like scenes are missing. Or, at the very least, more meaning-full dialogue.
Stunningly shot as usual, this film definitely presented a complete and attractive story. But the chemistry between the leads wasnāt consistent in my opinion. Sometimes they felt like lovers, sometimes like more of a sismance.
fort acting is good but the way he was smiling when sky was talking about his past relationships with gun just…
Youre acting like he was flat out grinning or something. Heās not. That is the sort of āsmileā you give when trying to comfort someone and to show that what theyre saying isnāt changing your opinion of them. Especially when you put the eyes and and body language together with it. Smiling doesnt always mean happiness, thereās a such thing as a reassuring smile/smile of reassurance. And thatās what that is.
Im not a huge fan of Fortās acting at times, because he does seem to struggle with some nuance. But that scene was nailed. He looked distressed. Torn between wanting to cry for Sky and to show Sky that he doesnāt think it was his fault, heās there for him, and his view of him isnt going to change.
Lin Lin be freaking out over a singular pimple like sheās never had one before. Her reaction wouldve made more sense later when it got worse, or if she had some important event to get to.
Probably the best one of these historical GL shorts I've seen yet. Good chemistry. Complete story. Cute. And it is made abundantly clear to even the most blind of viewers that this is not a sismance, but a romance.

I liked Payu and Rain the best, but there were some absolutely adorable scenes in Love Sky that just didn't have the same effect in the drama. As proven by how no one really gushed about them here in the comment section. And others that were left out altogether. Meanwhile, Payu and Rain scenes were given breathing room to really develop. And they even added/extended some of them.

I feel like they left it open to interpretation. And perhaps that's also the reason we didn't get the scene where Prapai helps him clean up in the shower. Mame likes her dramas to be as close to the book as possible, but she probably also knew that confirming it went that far would not be received well by drama viewers.

In the book, Pai is too late. And their positions in the drama seem to suggest it was that way in the drama as well. But, Sky does still have his bottoms on in the drama, so perhaps Pai did make it in time in the drama.

That's why it's that much more important, when choosing what to include or not, to select all scenes with a keen focus on giving the viewers a complete and consistent view of the characters, with minimum repetition.
Love Rain did well in this regard. And even added scenes. Love Sky did not deliver. And perhaps it would have, if they were given the screentime that Love Rain did.
Most disappointing Mame finale yet, imo.The sh*t is supposed to hit the fan before the finale for a reason. This…
Book Spoilers surrounding the events of episode 13:
Chai coming in when Sky and Prapai go to leave. Because of course he would. Prapai is their top racer and left the event in a livid frenzy.
Because Chai was there, Rain gives Gun a few good hits/kicks of his own for hurting his friend.
After Prapai and Sky get to Prapai's family home, Prapai gently takes care of Sky in the shower to clean up everything that Gun did and give him reassurance that he was there. Nothing sexual, but extremely needed.
After Sky meets Prapai's family, it is made extremely clear to him that Prapai is extremely serious.
Learning about Prapai's uncle actually happened in person. Which resulted in a hilarious and cute jealousy and reassurance moment between Prapai and Sky.
And Prapai's siblings being their usual chaotic shameless gremlins really helped Sky relax and get his mind off of things.
But it really isnāt clear. It feels like scenes are missing. Or, at the very least, more meaning-full dialogue.
