Anyone else disturbed by Feng Shao Feng in this drama? I don't know if it's the dubbing, the make up / plastic…
bitterly disappointed in both the dubbing and filters. what in tianxia dixia happened to his mouth between here and Minglan?!?! Reminds me of The Godfather and the wads of cotton stuffed in Marlon Brando’s mouth.
Is there a connection between this drama and ruyi pavilion? Most of the actors & actresses acted in both drama
no storyline connection. just sometimes you will see this when chemistry between actors is good. like Cheng Yi usually acts with the same people, and Jaywalk Studios teams its actors.
You know, after the Robin Hood Prince of Thieves fiasco…I am glad Damon didn’t attempt a European accent. Some things are just better not attempted! (spot on review too! )
sent a f/r in case you want to further explore the other topics (women as property etc). I have studied Mandarin and Chinese history, so can perhaps give a bit of context if needed.
re: the girl defending XKC As baffling as it is, most girls like the fairytale of being THE ONE who changed a bad boy into a good boy. We use all kinds of excuses to try to justify bad behavior. Only when we have personally experienced the shattered dream do we realize how foolish it is, and then we blame ourselves for not being good enough, worthy enough, or pretty enough. (yep, speaking from experience). XKC ex might seem vindictive, but imho she kept the girl code not because she wanted to wreck his life, but because she didn’t want others to go through her pain.
yeah I don’t get defending him either, especially when it isn’t the first time he strayed. as the sayings go: handsome is as handsome does/good looks often hides an ugly heart. My last point is that as westerners, we’ve gotten really relaxed on how we view infidelity and morality. it’s partly why I don’t watch much US/GB shows anymore. it’s refreshing to me to see people that can a profound impact on young people’s lives (idols, stars) being held to a higher standard. 一诺千金!
1. yes, but not til season 22. I counted 15 tropes in the first episode alone 3. Not really4. RJL doesn’t do…
not really a handicap per se. he has said it was in respect of his wife. other people have fueled rumors his wife is a shrew who forbids it. I’d rather believe him.
The ML is not handsome. It makes it hard to tough it up through this boring beginning. I'm dropping it.
None of the men in this are especially handsome. I finally figured out why. The wigs are set too far back on the head. Every single man has a five to eight head instead of a forehead.
