On Woori the Virgin Dec 22, 2022
I finally got round to watching this and I loved almost every minute of Woori the Virgin, I'm a fan of all the actors and laughed a lot, they clearly all have a good sense of humour and I felt the joy. One line made me cry a bit too.

Title Behind Every Star Spoiler
I watched until the end because I like a lot of the actors. But, the storyline and its presentation were lacking.…
Agree, I doubt it will be back. I was very fond of Director Ma's story and his secret daughter, but now it's out... there's nothing else. Writing wasn't snappy enough either. Episode 9 was carrying lead weights, just awful. Way too many Squid Game references, it almost got embarrassing.
On Behind Every Star Dec 18, 2022
Another Netflix series that was enjoyable but felt like a waste of time afterwards.
Some characters totally lacked consistency, just adapted to whatever the narrative demanded, such as Director Ma's wife and boss's lady chauffeur.
I really like Joo Hyun Young, she has a sparkle, she brought a similar charm to her character in Attorney Woo Young-woo. Hwang Se-on was also good. I won't be watching any more though, I should have known it wasn't a story from the start, just stuff happening each week. At times it was rather disjointed and felt awkward, as if the set was on edge, it had an uneasy and nervous atmosphere to it - as if the cast wasn't fully comfortable with the material.

Title Reborn Rich
The "No chemistry" comments are kinda unfair, it's quite obvious that we as viewers won't feel much chemistry…
I'm enjoying her involvement. It's pretty clear that he wasn't reborn to find a hot prosecutor and fall in love... I think the romance is a necessary plot vehicle and it's been done pretty well, as it was clear he found her interesting in episode 1. But he's also detached, he knows his priorities... how much could that change over time? Conflicts of interest between the two in business and professional matters add tension, there are times when Do-jun needs help only afforded by the conviction of someone with a special interest, it also introduces a potential weakness to Do-jun's armour.

Well the story is about the ML, his revenge and the grandfather. In novel the FL's role is very minimal infact…
Not sure, I don't think so; she's been used in several scenes that required her for things to work out. Also, it's becoming evident that the small butterfly effects have a significant impact over time. But anyway, I like her, always pleased to see her, so for me, her presence lifts the mood when the tension needs to be broken.

Some people were too quick to assume this show would turn down hill after ep 6 instead of waiting till EP 9-10…
Agree. I think the pacing's been spectacular. Ep 1 spent time setting the scenario, not rushing things, just revealing who's who; without that, what followed wouldn't have been as gripping. Then it's successfully turned the dial up a notch in every episode since.

IS IT WORTH WATCHING?
If this is a serious question, simply: yes.
Well written, well acted, well paced, well... everything. You might think a drama about businessmen doesn't sound exciting - well here you just need a line of dialogue and a response to invoke action, it's rich in every aspect, you won't be able to stop watching.

not to sound weird but can someone tell me when the spicy sex scene is? idk if I wanna watch the show after seeing…
Nude sex starts in episode 5, she's a beautiful woman, there are several spicy scenes, not just one, this one was quite memorable. A bit of masturbation in episode 2, I think - I found that very erotic, maybe because it involves the mind, not the visuals - a bit like the erotic scenes in The Handmaiden. There's a random sex scene in episode 7. This drama's been spliced and diced, it doesn't make sense, at some moments there's material missing, in others there's surplus, and the narrative is disjointed - I wonder if the director shot it as a movie, they always shoot much more material than they need for the final cut. Could be that a third party tried to piece something together from the cutting room floor. Something's not quite right.

Simon and Garfunkel's Scarborough Fair? I thought it was a disgraceful cover version, the original is a haunting…
Oh! Well done. So that's the one, it didn't do much for me tbh, didn't even clock it from the drama. It's one of those pieces you might tire of quickly after a few listens on your playlist.

Nice rant, but pointless. You should watch the drama and comment on it afterwards.
"since I didn't tell anyone how they should behave lol"

"If it's not your thing just don't watch it and move on instead of making a mountain out of a molehill as if it's the apocalypse of kdramaland"?

Lol? Ok then.

I see your point, Netflix has done great things in its distribution, its production formula has become a little tedious for me. You should have just responded directly to the comments you disagree with though. I prefer to see comments about the drama itself, rather than a generic lecture on the provider.

One more thing. I'm an autistic psychopath. With the phrase "educate yourself", are you saying autistic psychopaths are uneducated? Or maybe, as with users of such phrases, you simply don't get the irony.

You missed the point. Here's your statement again: "My biggest issue here is the *autistic* girl is also a *psychopathic* killer".

I swear the people who complain have never seen a single korean movie… nudity, violence and blood is not uncommon.…
There wasn't too much violence, and what there was was all in context and brought illustration. Can you tell me what value the porn scenes brought to this drama? I'll answer it myself: none. It was designed to make a statement and titillate, nothing more. Fair enough, that happens all the time, but if people complain about quality you can't really argue against it.

It wasn’t great but it was watchable. But of course instead of just saying that, some people needs to go on…
Let's judge it on the drama alone. What was the point of the shaman's girlfriend? Was her orientation important to the story? I saw nothing wrong with her being gay and I liked her a lot, she was one of the highlights, I liked her ritual scene - but didn't see a point to her scenes at the nightclub or many others. All a bit of a mystery where they wanted to go with it. Her character didn't need to be in a relationship and it rather detracted from the narrative - so it rather looks as if the makers wanted to make a statement.
