I could film a couple of weeks in my office and come out with a drama like this. I only mention it because I expected to see better dramatisation from SK. It's so matter-of-fact and hemmed in. And the dialogue's unnatural, the way they constantly insert toon-splaining into their conversations. Remember the aspiring artists at the webtoon camp? It could have been an elementary classroom - every behaviour of the adult artists was at that most basic level, just an example of the immaturity of character and scenario in this drama. I think I'll drop it after watching 8, every time I see artist Na I've had enough. Too basic for me.

Seems not... very creepy the way Joon Young's been smiling (leering) at Ma Eum recently. No subtlety. You don't suddenly smile like that when you start to like someone. Or any time at all, it's weird.

Fair point. So she's wearing them to move around easily, why not wear sneakers then? Loafers aren't comfortable... She looks like an elementary schoolboy, but I suppose she's ready to get into a fight at any time. Her bosses have better taste in trousers and practical shoes. I'm not trying to argue with you, just having a go at the way the show's set out each character into a pigeon hole from the start, it's so limited. Their behavioural patterns and images are shallow, as if they're drawings themselves. It's a bit boring.

Ok, message to the show's fashion consultant... is Sejeong going to wear those stupid pantaloons for the whole series? We get she's a geek but no need to ram it down our throats - maybe convey the character through personality (writing) rather than just a geek costume?

1. No real science, just a feeling from your highest ranked titles... overall I believe it leans toward male, not all, but overall.
2. Park Bo-young isn't a young fan's typical icon, they usually go for idols. Your favourite actors are charismatic, talented and beautiful - both male and female... of course most SK dramas fit that description, so i mean they all excel within SK dramas.

Doesn't tell me much though, she's pretty popular with a wide variety of people... some young boys pick pretty girl pics, some women too if they want to project that way. I said everything matters and I don't regard that as prejudiced, it's just a fact that you've confirmed in your last reply when you listed everything - in your case it seems his age is to your taste, and I'm sure you're just his type too - so in many cases an age difference benefits the stability of a relationship... either way... it matters!

I start blubbing uncontrollably when I watch something for a second time, usually from the word go! Knowing what's in store adds poignancy to even the most benign events. Thanks for the links - the tweet mentions the ending, I prefer not to read such comments, much can be inferred from it - it plants a distracting seed in the viewer's mind that alters their whole perspective. The OST music is great to evoke memories of great drama moments, great song..

Thanks, it just so happens I didn't know that, and it doesn't make any difference one way or the other - however, now I'm imagining both of them meeting each others' parents, K-drama style! I've tried to hint (or maybe say directly) that I don't measure all of Gong Hyo-jin's wealth in dollars or won. It's an interesting fact actually, I was just quoting a line delivered by Cary Grant earlier. Must be nice not to have to worry about money... people with money still have goals - as I alluded, I hope marrying a gold A-lister is not one of them.

Totally agree, the way she captured her body language was extraordinary, I too was in no doubt we were looking at Takae's soul on screen... I mention this drama on the odd forums and nobody responds, I suppose it sounds a bit weird to anyone who hasn't seen it... My Wife the Elementary Student! But it was Nono-chan's performance that grabbed my attention within seconds of seeing it - tbh I wonder if I'd have watched it otherwise. Glad I spotted your comment, nice to meet a fellow fan.

Me too, depends how it's handled... the ones that are written to annoy the audience are, well... really annoying (I suppose it could be considered successful if that's what they were aiming for!)

But I'm not sure her job will allow any typical ML or SML to exist, in reality this type of woman is normally followed around by a few puppies and rarely has any interest in ordinary relationships. With her education and skills most men won't be a match for her... might be fun!

You nailed it at the end. Crazy fans show their love for a show or celeb in this style. Take the crazy Lee Seung-gi fans, rent-a-mob or whatever they are. Could even be a bot.

I'd like to see them explore something like that, but they'll probably pitch the FL as something more wholesome, like a form of talent agency. Either way, I don't see how any male leads are going to fit into her lifestyle - this should be a drama without romance - will be interesting to see how they play it. If there's a ML, his masculinity will get dented - perhaps the stoic guy that waits, keeping his feelings suppressed... and if she's as talented and qualified as she is, he'll have a lot to live up to.
