On Yumi's Cells Season 2 Jul 9, 2022
After watching episode 10 s2 has suddenly improved, almost as good as s1. The cells still have a different demeanor though - not so cute, less personality (which is which?), prone to shouting, showing their teeth and head butting each other!

On Yumi's Cells Season 2 Jul 9, 2022
I think a lot of criticism of s2 is because s1 was so good - but s2 has clearly been thrown together with less thought. Today I'll point out the way the beautiful music from s1 has been used inappropriately in s2. No spoilers... there's a beautiful piece called Heart, it has a poignant mood and it's clearly related to sadness - in epi.8 Babi had a decision not involving Yumi and it wasn't the type that fits the mood of Heart - yet they slapped that music behind the scene. My ears thought something wasn't quite right - that's Yumi's music! (edited - I got the music title wrong, doh! 🤦‍♂️)

Will there be a s3 or not cause they are obviously not changing it from the webtoon version so obviously they…
Thanks, man. That didn't spoil it at all.

I just finished episode 7, and thus far I like season 1 better. For some reason season 2 is lacking something…
The cells are all over the place, twice more screen time than s1 and mainly shouting at each other, no mini character developments like in s1... there's no real connection to Yumi's thinking and no wit. As far as real life drama... unfortunately zero rapport between the leads, seeing Woong has been the highlight so far. There may be different crew and writer too? The snappy script, bounce, fun... and romance from s1 is nowhere to be found - seasons suck. Yumi looks pretty with long hair, alas Babi's a dial tone.

Congratulations to them, but why should we care? I don't really understand why celebrities mix up their personal…
I'm a fan of their works so I'm interested in who they are and I care to know, maybe others feel the same way... I wonder what brought us all to this web site and this article? We're not forced to click.

Where can I watch it’s not on Viki
Unfortunately.... Disney+
Typical of MBC.
I won't be watching, not a Disney fan, any drama they snatch is one less I have to worry about.
Sorry - too much information 😬

Snowdrop was good, I've heard Beyond Evil is also compelling - combine that with the actors being your favourites...…
Who told you that you should drop those dramas? I still don't get it...
Edit: I infer that you don't like the stories but like the actors. If you're not enjoying the dramas, drop them. Find some other oppas, there are plenty.

I always feel guilty to drop a drama i've started, as a matter of fact i just can't drop Snowdrop or Beyond Evil…
Snowdrop was good, I've heard Beyond Evil is also compelling - combine that with the actors being your favourites... why *would* you drop them? I don't get your point.

You can say it in one line: If it's crap, drop it!
Note that one's definition of crap varies, for me boring is not crap, it's more to do with quality. I cannot stand crassness, 2 recent examples:
Tomorrow - I gave one episode.
Sh**ting Stars - 2 episodes.

Netflix? why, oh why???
Netflix is #1 for K-drama for me. It was the first streamer to bring *good* k-dramas to my region legally... that includes Viki who only brought a handful. Their subtitling is better than Viki too - faster, and the subtitlers don't splash their names everywhere - a translation faux-pas - Viki subbers spoil the content... Watch the last 5 minutes of My Girlfriend is a Gumiho with English subs on Viki to see a classic example of morons staking a claim *on top* of someone else's work.

is it really fake-ex meeting tho? like is it specified on the webtoon?
No idea! I haven't got time to read webtoons, esp. if it might spoil a drama - they're like detailed story boards these days. It wasn't implied in the drama either, it's my inference based on his character, a guy that pulls elaborate tricks to get into girls' pants - too much of a coincidence, even by k-drama standards!

Wasn't Babi a gaslighter in season 1? Undermining Woong, accidental-deliberate meetings in the park, hiding Yumi's umbrella (yes, I think so!), the fake-ex meeting in the cafe (yes, he set that up, right?), crashing the drinks gathering... No way Yumi-ssi, don't fall for it! I'm still rooting for a Woong comeback!

I'm surprised Jung Hae In is willing to star as a second male lead.
It's probably an even split in roles, but even so, Jung Hae-in's making a reputation as an actor with integrity and humility, i.e. a proper actor. Any proper actor wants to contribute to the whole and work with great people, it's not a competition, it's art.

Thanks for this article. I discovered Ayase Haruka in Hotaru no Hikari when I first started watching Asian dramas…
That was her move into A-list, very popular drama
