*The Walking will revolve around an organization that manages giants and another organization that confronts them.*Disney+…
Well, Disney doesn't understand art, nuance and subtlety. Quite literally 'giants' are very big, so they must make a good drama, right? Deng.
Disney: let's make something big! Minion: how about giants?!! Disney: it's big, let's do it, here's a few $million, throw it around and see who bites! Audience: 😐 Critics: 🤑🫰 Art lovers: 🤮🤢 Disney: Next!
That's good, I don't have Viki 🖐️ I won't have to watch SHS overstretching herself again. LJW is also mediocre, nothing worse than mediocre players attempting challenging parts, you can see the cogs grinding, it's uncomfortable.
Tbh your top 3 is a little narrow, you probably haven't seen enough dramas yet. SHS isn't bad, but a little overrated as an actress - probably for the reasons you have an issue with, casual viewers think if she's not a classic beauty then she must be super talented, she's about average... I like her but she's not as good as MDLers make out.
When I first saw the pink poster, I had decided to skip this. But over the course of its airing, I happen to watch…
It didn't fit, at all. It was more like the lead actor's actual gangster films, such as Chinatown and a night in paradise (top films btw). How did they mess that up? Ruined it for me.
why couldn't they make this 12 eps? or 10? the begining and the middle was so fun but im having a hard time finishing…
The writers ran out of ideas. Which explains even why the dramatic parts misfired towards the end, it was a clumsy latter stage that left the audience (i.e. me, maybe you too) detached.
Interesting article. Her face is indeed very adaptable, you can see her in two roles and it will take a while to sink in that it's the same person. Is she beautiful? I think so, and also she has charisma to go with it. I dare anyone to watch the butcher's daughter's sword dance in The Treacherous to disagree, it's dazzling and mesmerising, not to overstate it.
* Edit, never watch just one scene, context is everything, there's a specific order of events that make it what it is, the director's work is notable, as is the cinematographer's, and of course Lim Ji-yeon's - I couldn't take my eyes off her.
I want to see this if possible. Han Sun Hwa was super in My Sweet Mobster too.
Can I just say LA, any reference to the ending, whatever the wording, is a spoiler? I can avoid reading comments with spoilers, but not articles and reviews. I never read reviews, but I quite enjoy your articles for the most part.
