Thank you for the recommendation I've watch almost all the listed drama except forever love 2023 and TRTR will give it a shot for TRTR. I couldnt watch forever love cause when it came out I just done with maid revenge and couldn't move pass the FL&ML chemistry in maids revenge hence I put on hold with forever love but thanks again!

I just don't get ep 30 like if I were yinlou I would have done nth to alert the emperor abt the prince Nanyuan scheme to rebel I mean this is great opportunity for her to escape from the stupid emperor grasp. I mean during the rebel she could have just escape and don't care anymore abt imperial stuff and just elope with Xiao duo at mouseleum. You helping the emperor in fact will make the stupid emperor think you care for him this EP was just stupid. The fact that emperor thinks he can do without zhaoding bureau serve him right if he dies
I feel like this drama could have been a hit/high rating if 1) they did not cut so many kissing scene cause it adds essence to different ep 2) they did not focus on the stupid emperor for the last 6 ep I mean what's the need of focusing on him like storytelling abt his being delulu in 2 ep is more than enough I don't need more than that 3) this drama could have been perfect with just 24 EP and they could have insert a showdown btw zhaoding bureau and the freaking emperor gawdd
In all I enjoyed this series for first 20 EP and did complete it till the end cause I wanted to see our lovebirds endgame

This is my very first time feeling so heavy and shocked by the ending omg I knew it there will be cliffhanger cause the BIG BAD GUY is not yet caught and The Gong's are still stuck in the residence protecting something bigger which is not yet revealed. Anyone knows if there will be season 2 please don't be like princess agent that was a big blow for me too. After so much suffering after so much endurance they are back to square 1
But nevertheless I want to praise all the cast in here are Top-notch I wouldn't say much abt the FL and ML cause they are already excellent and well known actors/actress but I want to highlight a few that deserve recognition
Ryang Cheng/GSJ - finally he had a lead even so it was 2nd lead but his presence was overshadowing. His eye gazed acting is beyond expections and tells alot for different emotions. Really love his acting I hope directors out there will recognise him and give him leads pls he deserve it. I've seen a few of his short series it's about time he gets a big project.
Omid/Han ya si- for his first debut drama he nailed it his character and was perfect for him. His darkness and mystery was everything
Yang master yue/Elder yue/Zuo yue- I really like him in his white/black hair-do he look so aloof and cool. This is the first drama for me of him cause I've NVR seem him in any historical before but his character was another yet perfection hope see him more in future project
Young master Xue tongzi/Lester lin- I can tell he is one promising young talented actor. His portrayal as master Xue a kid body but the mind of adult was marvelous. He was able to portray the character so well. I loved his scene with Xue gong zi especially the part when they went out together in the front hill to help gong ziyu to save you weishan
Shangguan qian- I just realised she was the FL in "time and him was just right" her character was a high school student and she look very young In there very kiddy like. But I'm surprised she played the mature role in here very well and she annoy me as hell cause she neither on any side but herself. Just like her hanya said she only love herself. I couldn't like her character cause I thought she would have really sided and trusted GSJ at least. But than again looking at how GSJ treated her me as a woman myself if I was living a complicated life I can't just trust anyone but myself
Jolin jin- I didn't expect she would be in the acting industry since she's known more for variety show cast/comedian but I really loved her character here cause she balance out the dark atmosphere in this drama and it was not awkward or out of nowhere. It really saddens how the father did know recognised/approved her as the Shang heir just cause she's a WOMAN!! Her sad scene really gets thru me
I just want to say even tho Chen duling(gong ziyu mother) only had a few scenes but her ethereal look was stunning
I feel like IQIYI is really good at producing historical drama. Very impactful, excellent cinematographic and beautiful hanfu design for all cast which does not look cheap or look like a rented clothes but specifically design for the drama itself. For only 24 ep long other production should really work on cause doesn't mean a lengthy drama is needed or good but 24eps is just nice. I mentioned IQIYI cause a few that I've seen specifically for historical and their production does not look any lesser than those lengthy CDRAMA 40/50 ep for e.g - one and only - my sassy princess - love between fairy and devil
All of the above achieved quite a excellent result in terms of rating and popularity and this is just done within 24 ep long and I loved how their hanfu designs in every of the above drama!! I really loved historical drama so I hope all the cast in here will get more project be it modern or historical but if it's historical I would really love to seem all of them again in other project.
Omg don't tell me lord ding will die and zhuohua will end up with Liu Chen since the emperor did say he wants zhuohua be first prince right hand man. Liu Yan is actually already sickly and I am sure he does not have many years to lived so possibility of dying is high. Furthermore no one knows that lord ding and zhuohua are in relationship. It seems Liu Chen was able to be the emperor and not get in trouble is thanks to his uncle/lord ding always helping him. I am sure once lord ding dies Liu Chen needs a right hand man to help him to have strong foothold as an emperor since his quite impulsive so the best bet here is zhuohua. If this is where the endgame is heading I am not ready for it cause whose gonna protect zhuohua when his gone.
I thought this season kun wasn't in it at all and was replaced by fan Cheng Cheng so actually he was still part of the regular cast but due to the scandal his part was removed completely
