I have no idea why this has such a low rating! I think it deserves more and 7.5 is a lowball. This is damn good for me like even so some might find the first few ep was slow and boring but I find it is a good pacing knowing that they need to do abit of flash back who is Yan Xun, Chu Qiao and zhuge Yue knowing that princess agent was ages ago. So I bet they need to do some intro of these 3 characters relationship how they were connected etc tbh their rage & vengeance goes way back cause it’s super complicated with so many plot, betrayal and misunderstanding at the same time if u were to watch princess agent.
The fact that they did not dragged Chu qiao memory loss and reveal her regain memory at ep 3/4 is really good pacing cause if this was back in the days for historical drama they would have dragged it even more so viewers need to be tad little patient.
But I like how this rebirth is giving me the feels of angst, misunderstanding the old classic trope of trauma like ml lying to FL his dead. And of course the FL/ML long separation before they reunite like they don’t give u a chance to breath always at the edge of your chair like what’s next cause the journey btw FL and ML is gonna be tough. Im not sure if you guys understand wha im trying to say cause I’ve been watching historical dramas for the longest time and this classic trope is a killer it’s not your usual idol drama ( tho there are a lot of pretty people in here) there will be plot and twist after twist. I’m pretty sure there will be a lot of bitches liking zhuge Yue haha
I know this can’t out beat princess agent but this is like the new generation of princess agent hence the title of “rebirth” so I guess viewers got to take a notch down and see if this is your cup of tea or rather in different light. If it’s not up to your expectations it’s okay u can just move to another drama and u don’t need to pull down this drama
Just my 2 cents if people like song yiren can get her drama published despite having that controversy why not crystal when her tax evasion is not even her fault why the double standard

Kind of regret that I didn't watch the leaked videos I was looking forward to watching ep 38 and I thought I miss smth or what but that scene didn't make the cut like what the heck. All in all this was good for the start of 2026 and Zhang linghe and tinaxiwei popularity is off the roof after this. I mean I know linghe is already popular but this breakthru of pursuit of jade is his best project when it comes to ethereality. I've seen all his historical drama this is by far the best finally somebody knows how to do his hairdo in historical. Tian xiwei is a beauty how could u still look beautiful even so she wasn't dress like those noble high end clothing but just cotton like but she still look stunning. It's about time she's on the rise. Other cast is absolute stunning like snow Kong omg she's everywhere I hope she gets her main lead soon cause I think she's about ready to handle big project. But biggest takeaway is dengkai omg I didn't event realize he was in blood of youth. Kudos to the director from cinematography, lighting, angle every single thing just brings up a notch to every character in this drama even the support role everybody is ethereal. Definitely 10/10 but plot wise Abit confusing I had to rewind to understand who is who and who is the main villain omg
Can anyone help me understand behind su rongqing predicament like he had his second chance at making different choice and even chance at getting together with princess pingyue but he chose not to again. Okay I understand the reason both of them cannot be together due to both family comes from a high power noble families which will threaten the stupid emperor father. But knowing that he had a second chance at his choices and with his intelligence plus the pingyue intelligence they could have go thru the storm together but he didn't fight for it only pei wenxuan. Pei wenxuan be it in the past or now even in his second lives he didn't even hesitate to reach out his hand towards pingyue. Even towards the ending the rongqing could have just live as normal person and travel the world but he chose not to just because everything didn't end how he wants it to be??
All in all I like this! This wasn't trashy like how people have express it in the comment just cause it focusses more on the harem and politics. I think if you are here to see Zhang linghe being the suave hero I think u can lower your expectations he is here as the sweet loving/backing husband character. If you are looking for some idol like drama this will not be it.

I thought I’m the only one had a hard time completing this but finally I get to complete it! It was a good watch not say it’s bad or super good. I would give this a solid 8 as both actor and actress hard carry this drama at least for me. If it was others I would have drop it long time! I also want to say it’s so sad that qiaoxi do not have a safe space in his own home especially the mom till the end there was no closure or redeeming factor for the mom relationship can be rekindle like how Yingtao parents was so Healthy and warm. So loving and forgiving what’s so hard for the mom to throw her ego and be the loving mom that Qiaoxi need
but they had happy ending in altered (changed) timeline, YHT & TYX...did you watch the post credit scene polaroids?
