Oh, Wen Yifan was my favorite character in this drama as well. Zhang Ruonan absolutely slayed her role here. I agree with you, she's beautiful in a natural way. This was my very first drama of hers, and I instantly became a fan.

Keep watching, and hope you find this drama interesting. There are many swoon-worthy and sweet moments scattered throughout the drama as well, so it's not just doom and gloom.

The First Frost is completely different from Hidden Love. TFF is a slow burn mature romance with melancholic vibe. There will be lots of emotional moments and angsts. So, it would be better to set the expectation right to fully enjoy this beauty of a drama.

I suggest you give it a try for about 5-10 episodes, because the story picks up gradually after initial episodes. The pay off at the finale was very much worth the journey.

Watched L&P while waiting for new episodes of The First Frost. Now I'm spoiled hard by two of the best modern CDramas out there... what do I even watch next to fill the void. Everything seems paler in comparison now...

1. They get together by ep 18-19
2. No breakup. But there's a period of separation for reasons you'll find out as you watch the drama.
3 & 4. Separation last for 2 episodes (25-27), and time skip of 6 months.
5. No 2ML or 2FL syndrome. Both leads are into each other only. Though, there's some annoying pursuer of FL. But, it doesn't take long to be resolved.
6. No ex for both either
7. Very happy ending. Well wrapped up and very satisfactory.

haha, I'm still camping here to check the rating. Plus, I don't have any other drama right now that I want to camp this hard like TFF as well.

Age gaps in HL and TFF don't like up with each other. Don't mind about that one.

May be Lighter & Princess. Slow burn romance, first love for each other, good plots, lots of angsts. In terms of roles, Sang Yan is similar to FL there, and Yifan is similar to ML there.

Completely different vibe from TBT. In TFF, there are sweet and funny moments, but there also are heavy, angsty, and lots of emotional moments. It's a slow burn romance with melancholic vibe. In terms of story and characterization, TFF got a lot more layers than TBT for sure.

So, if it's something you might like, give it a try. Try to stick around for at least 5-10 episodes as the story picks up gradually. It's very worth it if you make it to the end!

We don't know how much damage was done by the trolls and haters till now. Like they give 1.0 for no reason at all. Though, as the drama was finished airing, more viewers will come in. So, hopefully the rating will stabilize eventually at it's deserved score.

That dialogue took me out in the novel, and it did again in the drama as well with ZRN's delivery. Encompassing all her love and regrets into a few sentences. It was just so beautiful!
