When you loose something important to you, it's almost always easier to blame someone else than blame oneself. It's an effective emotional outlet. Not that it's logically correct though.

Agreed. Honestly, for a romance drama, I do not feel anything if the leads met, kissed, and started dating in like 5 episodes, unless very well written.

I much prefer the slower pace for the characters to bond, and it resonates with me much better.

I suggest FL's another drama 'Reset' if you haven't watched it yet. Very good mystery-thriller.

The extent of his plotting isn't clear yet imo. I guess it's partly a real scheme against him, and partly his own engineering. Because, in one of the earlier episodes, it was mentioned that after his disappearance, there was no wave within the government office at all, which implies that the higher ups are covering up stuffs.

FL crashed at ML's place at night to sleep with him.

ML be like 'is this for one night, or a lifetime'.

FL be like 'who cares about one night or however long this last, let's just enjoy'

ML then be like 'no can do. I have my pride'

Just catch up quick, it's even better with the leads' acting. xD

It was explained that he went out with a plan to infiltrate Rong family. But, actually got amnesia and went into the Rong family nonetheless. lmao

Xiguang going off on that jerk on the party floor was so awesome. Borrowing Yusen's words, she truly was radiating there.

It even reminded me of Mai Mai's role in The Princess Royale. Her aura and energy there was how I became a fan of hers.

Jinmai is so good in these roles. Loved her in Amidst a Snowstorm of Love as well.

It's a slow burn with mature leads, healthy communication and relationship.

At the beginning, he was kinda mean to her in the workplace because of this reason. He was repeatedly asking Xiguang whether she remembers or not, and gets upset whenever she answered she doesn't know what he's talking about.

But, he eventually let go of this issue and decided to pursue Xiguang.

Both Xiguang and Ma Nianyuan went to the party that year. Yusen saw and fell in love with Xiguang there.

Ma Nianyuan has been posing as Nie Cheng Yuan's (Xiguang's father) daughter. Shao Jiaqi matchmaked Yusen and Nianyuan with that information. Yusen went to the appointment because he believed that Nie Cheng Yuan's daughter is Xiguang. Then, he had the accident on the way.

So, the entire time, Yusen believed Xiguang forgot their appointment back then, and she was the source of his accident.

He knows FL has his back, hence he dares to act this way. They also had the deal for him to take focus away from FL's cousin in exchange for FL's protection for him.

It was also kinda shown/implied that he doesn't need to take order from anyone else except RSB because he's technically not a servant of the Rong family.
