The current rating of the Drama is expected because of the ending.....sadly.

Other C dramas here who have similar endings ( or worse) especially after a beloved couple like Xiao Yao and Hong ye have similar types of ratings.

I think that some of us have become too pessimistic here as of late. The Drama did well all things considered. It's n1 or in the top 3 in a lot metrics still. It's doing well.

Seven did very well with her 1st Xianxia as 1st billed too .
She has a short film that will be released shortly.
She left Beijing yesterday for a brand event.... we'll see gorgeous new pics soon.

Now we wait for her next drama Melon.

If you look around here , there are actually a lot of popular C actors here who have a lot of low/average ratings for their drama.

I think that with TUS, let's just be happy that the drama did well.

I still don't know why Xiao Yao is not on Viki...Neo other airing Drama is. Will it be at least on Netflix ?
Why didn't they distribute it on Viki when recent IQYI dramas air there?
How do they expect some international viewers to watch this? Not everyone has IQYI ( and quite frankly they wouldn't see me as a subscriber anytime soon 😒😒😒!!)

It's honestly mostly because of the ending. Most Seven dramas tend to score at least a 8.2 here ( we're not going to talk about abay because there was some conspiracy with that one).
As soon as I saw the ending, I knew that it would drop even more. It will continue to drop too.

Other C dramas that have similar types of endings or worse get these types of ratings here....few are the exception.

Currently watching it...I'm on episode 4 and I'm enjoying it so far ...I was afraid that they were going to do Song Wei long character dirty (since it's a Female centric Drama) like they did with Ryan and Victoria song drama ( where Ryan was like a guest appearance tbh 💀💀💀....only to be seen as the FL love interest... severely underutilized even though he's the ML 💀 💀).

I'm pleasantly surprised by SWL screentime so far....it's almost equal (which is low-key huge next to Angela baby too) and he has a story outside of the FL character.......maybe he finally got a good agent in his new company that is looking after him .


Anyways, so far good. I'm pleasantly surprised on how much I'm enjoying it so far...of course I ignored the low ratings here lol.

There have been a lot higher rated recent dramas that have not been able hold my attention so far like this one.

If I am not mistaken Dylan wang and qin lan had the same age difference with their drama a few years ago and I quite dont remember this many comments at the time criticizing that much....like they are doing with this drama........in fact I still see people liking that pairing till this day.
The Lead actress looks younger than her age. They have an insane chemistry in the drama and they are actors.

One of the things that I truly enjoyed in this drama is the fact that the Female Lead acted like a mature woman in a relationship once she got into a relationship with our ML.
I have seen SO MANY of these dramas where the situation is more or less similar and they have a 30, 35, almost 40 year old Female Lead act like someone who has never been in a relationship...doesnt know what kissing is ....or what a relationship entails..... they have these actresses act like they are a complete novice in everything romance related which is completely unrealistic for the most part and SO annoying !!!
They will have a career woman in her late 20s or early 30s act like she has NEVER been in a relationship !!! So annoying and I am so glad that this drama didn't go down that route.

Yup...I have seen other dramas promoted way better that didnt accomplish what TUS did....it did very well all things considered.

Funny because I dont remember this scene in the drama.....It is the boat scene....they just showed the part where he put a towel over her head and they kiss under it LOL.

It just seems like every other day I come across a new scene that didnt make it in the drama.....it is laughable at this point....

Being her fan aside, it really boggles my mind how she seems to have quite a few antis when all she does is release 1 or 2 dramas a year, attend a few events here and there, if we are lucky guest star in some variety show....go on long breaks and enjoy her life out of the spotlight. She is not even a traffic actor and it is by design so the hate that she sometimes encounter is puzzling to me.

I think that some fans are just annoyed that it didnt get the promo that it deserved....it took long to film, long to release,...just for them to air it in 10/11 days and call it a day....Oh well ,at least it still did well all things considered.

what a lovely thing to say thank you. It is truly amazing how her dramas still manage to perform really well even though she always seem to have some disadvantages with airing time. She really never have it easy for having an optimal time for her dramas to air...it is always something or the other....

Yup I paused this one to finish when destiny brings you a demon....I am almost at the end with that one. That one is so much better and interesting...
I dont think I'll continue this one.

I like him as an actor. I have seen his other dramas (he is a great actor) which is why I am so confused on why this drama is so popular......the ranking here is especially high too. I am literally struggling to press play and continue, it is so slow and boring and I really dont care for a lot of the characters....even the FL...his character behavior can also be problematic too....Like ???

Did you guys know about this ? I knew about the support he sent to Esther last concert....I didnt know that he supported her previous drama before SAL Ski into love too....how nice :)

And sometimes it's more sinister and you'll have a group of people purposely down rating a Drama because of X or Y...not honestly because they dislike the Drama.

I see it happen with other dramas here all the time and it's always some specific actors too....

That's how I felt when it ended. I had so much to say.... didn't know where to start....also feeling sad that the drama ended.....I still wanted to leave a review last year which I did.
It's kind of all over the place ( unlike my usual reviews) but I had to say something 🫶

Yup it was also trending on the hot search..... Esther given them the drama gifts. IQYI just messed up everything promotion Wise 😒😒
