Fair enough but I've seen way too many mediocre dramas here sitting comfortably at 8.8 and above.
I beg to disagree and it tends to be mostly kdramas.
A lot of average kdramas here tend to sit at 8.8 and above mostly because they have very popular actors and the drama is very popular. While you have some gems of Japanese dramas or Taiwanese dramas barely getting a 8 or less than that.
The unclouded soul finally reached 8000 heat index on IQYI yesterday 🥳🥳🥳. Fingers crossed that it can get to at least 8500 before the drama ends 🤞🤞. It seems to be n1 also in a couple of metrics I saw and others n2. Glad that it's picking up steam and doing better and better.

Yup he didn't even attend the drama ending ceremony of the Glory because he had to rush out to the hospital. It was sad watching some Reuters where he was wincing, crouching visibly in pain SMH. This is why a lot of kiwis (his fans) didn't really want him to take that drama (because yuzheng is attached to it). I'm familiar how he works (experienced with other dramas works/actors) and this it's definitely a pattern.

Oh Lord that's insane. Yeah definitely not watching it even though I like Neo. I'll watch his other drama ( the unclouded soul)instead once it finishes airing. And to think that they promoted it as a romance Drama so this is ??? Isn't this drama produced by yuzheng? If so it makes sense . He loves to use some of these dramas to promote his actors in the drama ( supporting actors) . I remember 1 drama that the FL of the Glory did with XuKai and I remember how frustrated XK fans were. The leads, especially him the ML barely had screentime but instead it was all the other many supporting casts . I don't mind the supporting casts getting their shine but when it's way more than the leads it's a problem...or when the leads are used to promote but we barely see them in the drama.
As soon as I saw these promotional pictures with all that huge cast in the official pics, I already had an idea of what time it was ✌️✌️😅

Does anyone knows when Esther IQYI contract ends? I guess because she's their global ambassador, it explains why her 2 upcoming dramas and her latest ones are all from IQYI. Don't get me wrong they seem to have great dramas for their actors but I kind of have enough of them 😅😅😅

Yup this has been my experience too from watching Cdramas. Tencent is the best out all of these platforms with promo which is why I prefer my faves to do more Tencent dramas.

They just basically air dropped it and call it a day😒😒😒. Esther is IQYI global ambassador so I don't even understand how they couldn't put more effort in promoting it? IQYI sucks with promotion in general 😒😒😒. I was also lamenting on Seven's page how the unclouded soul didn't get an offline event either 🙃🙃. Offline events are great for promo.
If Esther didn't film tons of tiktok videos, took a lot of pics, did the lives with Heyu and some of the casts we would have been even worse off😅😅. It seems like they just let the promo be the responsibility of the actor which is unfair.

It's unfortunate that this happened to you. Some people are truly unhinged here. I just block . Or they'll go to actors page that they don't like to insult them or their dramas.
I'll never forget how Abay aired ( as beautiful as you) and I kid you not the 2 first episodes barely aired and there were already a lot of reviews giving it low ratings. I was flabbergasted and it was my 1st time I witnessed something like this here . So there are people who purposely down rate a lot of dramas here for whatever reasons... not just that one: they don't like the CP, or 1 of the actors....and it sucks because their ratings affect the overall rating as a whole. I wished in 2026 mdl would do something about the way some of these reviews work because a lot them don't always reflect the true quality of the work ..a lot of people down rate a drama here just to be spiteful.
