It was because Nainai and her 2nd husband were together when they were advanced in age. And people gossipped about…
Prejudices often do that to people, I guess. But after years, and with everything Grandma has done for MCH over the years, till date(letting MCH stay with her after the fallout with her mother.) He understood now that his step-mom is essentially a good person.
Wow, Nainai us the most intelligent family member that ML & FL share. She's going to leave both her grandkids an everlasting gift, something she craved for all her life - FAMILY!!!
Next episodes are gonna be high on Drama, tears and emotional upheaval π
I really would like drama to tell me why the father had a falling out with his stepmother (grandma) because if…
It was because Nainai and her 2nd husband were together when they were advanced in age. And people gossipped about them. So, MCH's dad was unhappy about it at that time. But now he realises the pain and hardship his step-mom went through.
Who knew that a bedsheet drying scene could be so romantic? ππ
MCH & YZM creeping towards each other while growing up with each other too.
This story is about living life without regrets. We go through life balancing many relationships.
But the ones that stick are the ones which are at equal footing.
And sometimes, parents and their grown-up children need to go through trials in order to adjust their mutual relationships as well.
I'm loving this show. So many life's lessons ππ (P.S. Major friction between ML & FL up ahead. I hope character development does all the work. The theme is, 'Can you like / work with someone, who has the very thing that you've desperately wished for?')
Loved episodes 11-12. I think FL will become the support system that ML never had but given his traumatic past and his Dad being in jail,
There's going to be a lot of DRAMA, before they learn to rely on each other.
As far as the teasers are concerned, I love the conflict they're building up. If the push doesn't come to a shove (FL being pushed by her overbearing mother) then she will never become who she's actually meant to be, ML's partner in life AND business.
Wow! So much happened and it was like a domino effect.
All the situations are being lined up now for the big break-up.
Yao Zhiming's a hard taskmaster. He's like a very bitter medicine. π¬
I want the break-up between Mai Chenghuan and her current BF (Jia Liang) is because they're both different people.
Mai Chenghuan is a hard-working, middle - class, strait-laced person who believes that if you're honest then good results will automatically follow.
And Jia Liang is playful, immature and doesn't even know how to be responsible for himself. Blurts out nonsense without even thinking beforehand and can't express himself clearly or take a stand. He needs a lot of growing-up. Mai Chenghuan is simply too mature for him.
Loving this show so far. Such a fresh take on things. Zao Zhiming is calculative, secretive and his motives are intriguing. Plus, his world view of 'Using Connections - professional or otherwise', is in direct contrast with Mai Chenghuan's 'Business and personal lives' are best kept separate.
I'm highly invested in the show right now. Can't wait for everything to come crashing down like a house of cards and how the characters react to these tumultuous changes.
Loving Xu Kai and Yang Zi. What an incredible show and the leads ππ
Yes, seems SML and SFL will be together. The actors said that in livestreaming
Oh Wow! I'm so happy now. Tysm π I love their chemistry π
Romance like theirs is very subtle, realistic and stems from the feeling of being 'Best Friends' that you can actually talk to about your deepest, darkest secrets, without being judged.
I want more interactions like these between Zhuo Lan Jiang & Bai Xiao Sheng. They have both experienced each other's emotions and are deeply connected on a psychological level. ππ
Episode 18 is the best one so far. Of course, all the things shown in the previous episodes have led to this outstanding episode. This is the midpoint of the plotline, I believe.
If you go watch the game epilogue, this drama has the same ending as the game but shown in a different light.…
I sincerely hope they release the dramas strategically. So that people have time to absorb and process the different types of roles that he plays. I want XK dramas the whole year instead of all of them being aired in one go. π
Your posting is for the top 2024 Online AudioVisual Festival where he sang ost in WOLso he came in #2, that's…
Yeah! I wasn't expecting his singing voice to be so impressive, considering that he isn't a professional singer. But if he gets formal training, he can sing OSTs too.
Also, I wish XK gets to use his real voice in his future dramas, irrespective of whether they're costume or contemporary.
His indigenous fans should demand it on Weibo or Douban etc.
As an international fan, I think his voice is so perfect. ππ

Exactly. And I cried so much after the show ended. I've never done that before. My eyes were so swollen .It hurt a lot during those episodes. But now I'm looking forward to XK's next show. It's going to be "ABAY", isn't it?
Finally finished watching the show. And I thought episode 30 was heartbreaking? That's just the tip of the iceberg.
From Episode 30, it's an increase in the pain quotient and the intensity is unbearable.
YJZ & BLH both have to bear trials and they both have left very deep bruises on my psyche. The emotions attached to both these characters are pretty heavy and lingers on. I dunno how XK got through all that pain & suffering. He played these characters so well...β€οΈβ€οΈ
Yue Qi, in the aftermath of the final battle and that one earth-shattering event is so fragile. She tries to do everything she promised YJZ & does her best to shoulder responsibility, become mature and live a good life. But I was right about this from the beginning, YJZ is her anchor, her entire world and she'd do ANYTHING for him. YSX excelled in the portrayal of Yue Qi - that scene with Ming Xiu & LZY , I felt the same as her, Like I really had a big, gaping wound where my heart used to be.
The Ending - Now, this is especially for people who want to know if its a happy one. So, I'd just like to say that since the show uses the game material as Canon, the ending is attuned to the game. Also, for me it's a perfect and happy ending because it's basically a blank slate and we can give it a fresh start. At least, that's what I thought they meant for the fans. That we can now view them together, getting another chance. That's why I'm working on the FanFic, the link to which I'll be posting soon.

The next episodes are going to be even better considering the fact that everyone will be exposing their true faces, since their inner demons are going to be let loose. I can't wait...π€©π€©

From the heart-pounding moment of whether Pan Yue will be burned alive,
to the anguish of Yang Caiwei / SGZ of how to get him out of there
to the relief of Bai Xiao Sheng when she finally sees Zhuo Lang Jiang
to the RAW PAIN of ZLJ
This episode had it all. Astounding and captivating. But yeah ZLJ holds my heart.... πΏβ€οΈβπ©Ήπ
